Just made 11 Clickbank sales today using Facebook...

If you thought that no one on Facebook buys Clickbank stuff, you've just been proven WRONG!

Did 11 sales today or around $350 in revenue. I still need to work on lowering my cost as my profit is a mere $10. LOL!!

I'll be split testing my ads to try and increase my CTR, which would help drive my click cost down. Furthermore, I'll also be testing out the CPM bidding option.

The secret to selling Clickbank products on FB is to target a narrow demographic by using the Interest targeting feature.

For this campaign, I actually targeted a competitor's brand (*BIG HINT*) thus making my traffic pretty darn qualified. Not only that, I went one step further and actually build a review page telling the visitor why they should buy my stuff over my competitor's.

So, the lesson here is to never assume something doesn't work until you TEST!

Alright, gotta get back to optimizing my campaign now. Will keep you guys updated on my progress!

Sounds like you're on the right track, congrats. Anyone who thinks you can't sell stuff via Facebook is nuts. The 750,000+ million people that use Facebook are just regular folks, and Facebook is just another way to reach them.

If this is a pretty new campaign that you haven't been optimizing for awhile, there's definitely lots of room for that ROI to improve. Targeting your competitors' brand is a GREAT strategy - your traffic won't get much more targeted than that. Now just imagine if you were selling your own product/service instead of promoting someone else's.

Here's one tip for you. I assume you're doing CPC right? Try testing some CPM ads and find the one(s) that drive the lowest CPC. You might end up seeing that you'll get lower CPCs than you would have if you used CPC bidding.

Sounds promising. I do wonder, though, if targeting someone else's brand could become an issue at some point in the future.

Wow. That is great to hear. I was one of those people who thought that. But, I got involved with FB ads when I had NO knowledge at all. Now, this has given me hope to go and test out the FB ads waters. Much Success to all.

Nope, not Dating. Dating's way too saturated.

    Nice results.

Have you tried using free traffic methods with Facebook to sell products such as creating a fan page in a specific niche then building a list or is that too time consuming?

That's a good trick to add to my book!

I regularly use FB ads and never came to my mind to use the competitors brand to get more qualified targeted traffic, how couldn't I think of that?!

    Thank You!

I did fairly well for a little bit about a year and a half ago on Facebook with some clickbank products. There's no reason why you can't get people to buy things on there as long as you have the right targeting, ad copy and product. With those three things the combination is deadly(in a good way). I'm thinking I might get back into facebook even though they've become pretty strict on advertisers.

    Congrats!

I never listened to the naysayers about using FB to profit, people who said these are just people that want to interact with friends and aren't in buying mode...

Come on, whose in buying mode anyways whether you're searching on Google, playing around on Facebook, or tweeting with friends... the majority of people are NOT in buying mode, unless they're specifically online searching for a solution to buy.

FB is a cash machine if done correctly. It definitely takes some testing and tweaking but people will BUY, BUY, BUY from Facebook...

Perhaps. But you need to factor in time as well.

Im sure no-one wants to do a days work (or perhaps more) for $10.

If it can be improved, and the profits increased, thats great. But with all forms of paid traffic, there's an element of risk involved.

What commission profit is clickbank paying your for your sales.

If you are getting 50 percent looks like you could be doubling you money by just making your own product.

    scale up mate.
Get 100 sales per month....and contact product vendor to ask for bonuses
They will like to give you the bonus.

So instead of making $10 for 11 sales.

You will get $100 + bonus for 100 sales...

Perhaps, the cost you are paying now, is the cost of learning and I can say that, by now, you have improve the ROI.

I am trying to sell products on Facebook, but my biggest problem is that Facebook is more expensive than Google Adwords. I think they are crazy over there...

There should be a way that you can advertise at a low CPC, but they are also strict in how you are "attract' the Facebook user with your ad text and images.

you cannot come to the conclusion that "it's possible to sell on facebook", and come up with other theories with stats like that. IMO you need to get the gearing up significantly before you can definitively say that fb marketing for info products work.

$10 is such a narrow margin, a 1% rise is costs will knock out your profits and turn it into a loss.

I must admit, I'm wondering what the stats will be like after the 60 day refund window.

I don't want to be a naysayer, it's good that Alex is taking action and looking to improve those stats, but still, it's a bit early to be celebrating knowing what CB is like.

You really cannot make a judgement on this before you have done this for 60 consecutive days. Like ExRat said above there will be refunds clawed back from your commission, but on the other hand as you get better at knowing which adverts convert, you can cut your costs down. You may even get sales in the coming days from people that are considering the product, and have a cookie on their computer now.

Be interesting to see if you have an on going success. Good luck with it.

Not meaning to burst your bubble, but I hope you didn't utilize that competitor's
brand (or possibly a trademark too) in your ad? I don't know, but I'm anticipating
an action similar to those involving Adwords.

Anyway, good for you on taking action and getting an arguably good result. Just
