    Write something worthy of being linked to by someone within the academic community. That might be in a student or institutional blog that allows "dofollow" links for post comments, or something that might be recommended by a faculty member.

    The best places to get .edu backlinks are Wikis and blog posts. If you place the backlinks in a way that looks natural you could devastate the SERPs.
