How would you build a business

Hello Guys

We have been lurking for a while but decided to join up as we would really like some feedback from you guys.

We have been in customer facing careers for the last 20 years and literally have had enough of people lol I we really really want to get away from customer service, rude people, face to face work at least.

The main reason for posting is I would like to move nearer my mother and father who live several hundred miles away but we have friends here so would very much like to build up a business where I or myslef and my partner would be mobile.

We realise this is not something that happens overnight, we have worked on large projects in our careers but now would like to do something for ourselves. Even if it takes a couple of years, we would very much appreciate your feedback on how to grow something from scratch.

We noticed PPC and Media Buys seem to be a way to progress faster than SEO, but then we saw people having trouble with Google. The IM world seems to have that chicken and the egg scenario so very confusing.

If anyone has any ideas, feedback or pointers then that would be fantastic. As you can appreciate, family are not there forever so hope you can help.

Many Thanks in advance

Lorna and Dave

    Hey Lorna & Dave

Well I can obviously see the situation your in, and so what I am going to do is just try and advise you on the method that had worked for me a while back when I was first starting out. So this method is something your probably already familiar with, and sorry if I overstep on something you already knew. Nonetheless I would suggest you began a "Website Flipping Business". Website Flipping is the act of purchasing a ready built site at a cheap rate and then personally taking the time to better the site in all aspects, which means design, SEO, backlinks, content and most importantly to monetize the site even if the site doesn't make any more then $50 a month.

Here are some reasons why I suggest site flipping.

    - Doesn't require too much start up investment
    - Very simple instructions & guidelines to follow *unlike affiliate marketing*
    - Doesn't require you to always be working, you can do this only when your in need of money
    - You don't need to look for customers , that's already done for you on flippa.com & a few other site marketplaces
    - Lastly is because there the work you will need to implement on the site in order to make it better is actually very easy, the type of work you can learn for free just by searching on Google

And there you have it, in my opinion that is the simplest way you can make money online and I say this from personal experience. I've made thousands and thousand of dollars from about 20 sites that I have sold which only cost me about $1,000 to purchase. Were talking about a 1000% ROI, I literally spent $1,000 for all the sites then sold each at about $500-$800 on Flippa.

So I really hope you take this into consideration as a possible business venture.

    Regards,

It's always good to start building sites that are close to your interest/hobbies ... an easy way to start making money online with AdSense and affiliate marketing.

As your IM skills honed, it'll be good time to build brick-n-mortar e-businesses that offer concrete products and services with good quality and support.
