If you are not teachable then you will fail in every area of life...especially in business

What is a teacher?

Being a teacher is not a profession. It is a way of life. To someone who is not a teacher, helping another learn something new is grueling work.

But to the teacher....ahh if only a student were around!

A teacher will teach other people about anything. We will seek out opportunities to help other people understand. We have the excitement that comes from our little secret.....

To teach is to learn twice. ~Joseph Joubert, Pensées, 1842
We learn as much by teaching others as any other way. So, teaching is our gift. And in giving it away, we are rewarded many times over.

In my life I have been fortunate to have many teachers on many things.

My father taught me to do what is right and how to be patient.

My other teachers have taught me kung fu, tai chi, salesmanship, marketing, leadership, integrity, the value of hard work, and the list goes on and on.

At this forum I have seen many good teachers and I have learned from them all as much as I can.

There is an old proverb, taught to me by my kung-fu sifu (teacher),

"When the student is ready, the teacher will come."

And conversely:

"When the teacher is ready, the student will come."

Everyone here has had teachers. Specifically, everyone making a living doing IM has been taught how by others. No man is an island. At some point, you relied on the teachings of others to get you where you are. The success you enjoy was earned by applying the foundational truths given to you by others.

To the successful marketer, the teachers saved you years of time and trouble by imparting truth.

You are the person to whom I write this. This post is a statement of "readiness."

For I truly believe what my Sifu taught me: "When the student is ready, the teacher will come."

Many people come to this forum and want someone to hold their hand and give them the keys to the kingdom with no work or effort. I am not that person. I have been marketing and in business all my life.

If you are that teacher...ready for a willing student...here he is.

If you are that student...needing a teacher...get yourself ready first.

Look back over your life and take a moment to appreciate and see the value of what others have taught you. If you cannot think of any teachers you have had in life, I would say you are unteachable and you should cease all else and become teachable. There is no greater flaw than this.

Are YOU teachable? Are you REALLY READY to learn the things you think someone should be teaching you? Being unteachable means you will miss opportunity after opportunity to reach success.

To everyone who has taught me things in life...my gratitude.

To my teachers who are yet to come...my anticipation.

We are a small group with low overhead and, as a result, not under pressure for bill ability. As a rule, we limit our paid engagements because we find that we need free time to hone our skills through independent research that keeps us up to speed on the most effective methods and technology. Also because we are a small group, the members our clients interact with before bringing us in are the same who come to do the work after wards. We do not have groups of junior associates to send in our place.

I want to offer you a reward for the BEST post I've read this week!

I sincerely think this is one of the most brilliant and inspiring things I've ever read.

I'm proud of you for writing it in the "make money" forum rather than the Mind Warriors forum. Teachability is SOOOOOOOOOOO (OOOOOO...can't have too many o's there) important in life. If you can't learn then you'll stagnate. D

Death doesn't happen when we stop breathing...but rather when we don't expand our minds anymore. Not to be too philosophical (or maybe I am) but I don't worry about the future too much. I believe that it will happen and the choices we make every day will be the seeds for future success. Therefore, I grow EVERY day and I trust that the future will be brighter, richer, and more fun than today was.

      So far so good...

      Thanks for Inspiring Me!!!

      Yours Most Truly,

      Brad Spencer

Hello. I want to be successful internet marketer. I have the zeal and passion to achieve this aim. But what restricting me to do this is money. As heading of my post says you would know that am from India. If you compare price of dollar with India Rupee its somewhere around $1=Rs. 66 which is increasing day by day. My budget would be $100/month which is equal to Rs. 6600. This is maximum I can spend. I dont have high paying job and also I have to pay rent, bills, etc. I need to pay for domain, hosting, bing ads, fb ads, landing page and so on. I know there are free methods too but as you say free methods take time to show result.

Have a very special client. I like to call him the Sheikh. He does not mind. In return, he says that I am a Petrol Writer. This client is generous when it comes to pricing and payments. I have never been greedy. Just like Tom Cruise used to say in the Oblivion: We are an effective team! This gentleman is born and raised in Kuwait. He earned his degree in some prestigious London business school. Yet, when it comes to the business culture, he obviously follows the region of his origin. We do not discuss the price. We do not negotiate. Never. He orders the work. I deliver. Then, he asks how much needs to be paid. I get my money. That is it. Smooth and simple. For what is worth, so far, we have worked only on relatively small projects. Until recently. This was a client only to wish for. Guess, it is not only in my nature, but I was not quite satisfied. I wished we could do some more work. And, you know what happens when you wish for something. It happens to you, but not exactly the way you wanted to get it. So, one fine day, the Sheikh approached me with an unusual proposal. Like I passed all the test, and the time has come for the real thing. What he had on his mind was a book about his personal and professional journey, somewhere around 200 to 300 pages. A brand new website. We are talking about a few dozen pages at least. Then, there was a package of 30 blogs, give it or take. He also needed some scripts for promotion videos, but he was not quite sure how many of them.
