Amazon Sales Tax (CA and AZ)

Looks like Amazon might lose the sales tax war as CA is going after them (and other online retailers). Arizona has a lot of work to do, but wants to do the same thing.

Now from what I understand, Amazon does not have to collect taxes (supposedly) in states where it does not have a physical presence and is the center of dispute in Connecticut for example:

Amazon Sales Tax Dispute: Connecticut Gets Tough With Internet Retailer

This was their issue in California, because they do have a presence there.

Bloomberg gives some interesting history here for those int'd: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-0...-tax-view.html

Anyway, here are my questions:

1. Does anyone know if Amazon is still dropping states from being affiliates? I haven't read about that lately and I'm guessing it's because they are no longer worried unless they have a physical presence in the state?
2. My Amazon sales have done fairly well. But I'm wondering if that is wise considering that Amazon could drop my state at some time?

Nevermind. I found the answer: Amazon has terminated two states (Colorado and Connecticut) in the last year or so due to the states using affiliates as the "physical presence", which is why Amazon canceled them.
