Why I Unsubscribed From Your List

Being overwhelmed once again by subscribing to lists thru the purchase of a product or getting the freebie being offered I recently became unhappy with what my inbox was being flooded with. I know there are many who make throw away email addresses to help manage the flood but there are still ones where you buy a product and optin to receive updates. It is also a communication channel between you and the product creators which generally can be very useful.

After a while you get to the point where that communication is nothing but a pitch fest. I am not saying you shouldn't use the emails to offer up products, rather I am saying how often is often enough. There are other reasons one might wish to unsubscribe. So I have put some below and would like others to offer their reasons. This can also be used to make us better in our list relationship.

just selling and not really caring

recommend product w/o trying it first

your subject lines are misleading

your from line is misleading

you make it too difficult to communicate

you make it too difficult to unsubscribe

you don't tell me who you are

if I unsubscribe you don't tell me what I am subscribed to and many times I stay subscribed once I am reminded of why I subscribed

didn't build trust

selling crappy products

OK there is my list. What are yours?

    Again?

This same rant, by one or another member, has been on the front page nearly every day for the past month. And averages at least once a week for several years.
