What should I sell my website for?

I've never gone about this before...

I have a 6 month old website, about 150 articles on it, tons of pictures, tons of quality backlinks...etc

What should I sell it for? it's based on newer technology.... and it does pretty good with CPA stuff..!!!

how much income is it making on average per month?

how many unique visitors per month?

have you created a mailing list of the visitors to the site?

    what is the niche specifically?

is the domain name included? what is the name?

these things will all be variables on its potential worth.

In the end it will be worth what someone is willing to pay.

it doesnt matter if you have all or some of that, its just those are primary factors determining the "worth" of a site.

I know a guy that sells domains alone that they registered for 10 bucks and they get xx,xxx for them.

thats DOMAIN NAME ONLY...no site, no traffic, no income

so again, it comes down to what someone is willing to pay, but it becomes a convincing argument when you have

    friendly domain name
    search engine ranking
    unique traffic
    income

then anyone looking for your specific target, can SEE the worth of it, and you should have no problem selling it.

Yes sitepoint is a great place to list your site, and it only cost $40. When I listed one of my websites for sale I was getting like 300 hits a day from them. Very popular website listing service.

so if I understand this correctly - if a site was producing say $2,000/mo in revenue, it should sell for $24k?

yes.... if the site shows consistent sales of 2k+ a month you should be able to get at least 24K. There are obviously other factors and sometimes it doesn't work out though. The site should sell well if it is getting traffic from multiple sources and making money in multiple ways too.
