Okay, I'm not mad about it. I'm actually really excited about it.

I decided to create an info product about making a Halloween gingerbread village. It took about 2 weeks to make the village itself, while taking pictures of every step. It took about 3 days to compile the info-product itself. And there were road blocks all along the way. For example, on the first build I found the ebook was way too big-over 55MB in size. It was because I forgot to resize the photos in gimp.

I even had a unique advertising opportunity. My family was having a bunch of guests coming over to our house, and I was going to feature my village with a piece of paper advertising the website. But for some reason or another, I somehow forgot. Then, a couple of unexpected family activities came up, and I ran out of time. Now it's too late to launch.

So I was pretty discouraged, but luckily I didn't have much time to dwell on it. I was presented with a unique business opportunity that fit quite well with what I wanted to do for a long-term business, which involved facebook fanpages.

So I got my first fanpage set up, which ended up taking several hours for some reason. I was up until 4AM in the morning, working. When I finally got to bed, I was pretty excited. I was hoping that maybe, it would succeed.

It didn't. In fact, it fell way below even my most reasonable expectations. And I was out a few bucks.

So I created another fanpage, something I was actually passionate about. And while it's being more successful than my last attempt, I'm actually enjoying the process of building it. And now I've come to the realization that it will take time before I can start making money with it. But, I need to be making money in order to make it work (need money for advertising dollars).

So now I'm working a fiverr gig. That'll probably fail too, but that's cool, I can keep trying.

So why am I ecstatic about all this? Because I'm taking action. 6 months ago I would have simply put it off. Now I'm able to tell myself I need to do something, and actually do it.

It's pretty awesome, to say the least.

I hope I succeed, and I'm sure I will if I keep at it. But for now, I need to get back to work.

See ya later Warriors.

I Failed a TON as well...

Josh...I got online in 2003 and tried making this work and didn't have my real success until 2007. It was 4 years of learning and messing up before it clicked.

I was able to leave my job to go full-time in 2009.

So it took 6 years before it became really exciting.

I don't even want to begin to list all of the things I tried and failed at.

...you sound like you have a good attittude, willing to learn and take action. It will never happen as quickly as you want, but when it does finally happen for you it will be life-changing.

Keep Taking Action and Failing...and you will become a Success

    Hello,
I would give up on this year and polish it up as best as you can for next year, launch it about two months before Halloween.

Failing is learning and most internet marketers fail before they make money...I enjoyed reading your post because before I made any money online I had failed many times before that...

If I had to list the times I failed, you would burst out in hysterical laughter, roll on the floor, foam at the mouth, and yell, "What a loser!"

I know it sounds trite, but there really is nothing called failure. It's only learning.

    Keep the faith!

PS: the fact you're taking action puts you in the top 1%.

Your Halloween ebook idea was a great idea. Look at it this way ... maybe too late for this Halloween, but you have a whole year to work on it before next Halloween. By then, you could have a great Halloween site up to sell your ebook from and have some position in the serps established.

You've taken a lot of action and it's all a learning experience.

It may be too late for Halloween but there is still time for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Put on your creative hat and see where it takes you. Just try not to jump from one thing to another too soon.

Lol, it must be really interesting to fail.
Well, people fail because of their ignorant, and once the knowledge comes you see the success.
    Am a success!!

First of all kudos for seeing that way.

In the words of Robert Kiyosaki:
People don't succeed because they don't fail fast enought.

The real gold nugget here is not so much the positive thinking which in on of itself is great, it's the key to the door; But the treasure on the other side is the feedback.

What did you learn from it each time?
How can you make it better?
And also you are taking action, that is more than 90% of people around here, Internet Marketing is not your intelectual entertainment it's your path and so long as you keep making mistakes, receiving feedback, strategizing and taking action, you will succeed.

    Kudos mate!

My son's sensei drills his students that "If you get knocked down seven times, you get up eight times." Having that kind of never-give-up attitude is very important, and will get you far in life
    ..... AS LONG AS ....
when you get up, you don't just go back to doing exactly what you did when you failed. You've got to brush yourself off, figure out what you can do BETTER next time, and don't keep making the same mistakes.

    Joshua,

Wanna know a secret? Failure is an invention of the Matrix.

What you received is feedback that empowers you with invaluable insight into how to adjust course, try something new or the same thing better and take it the next level.

Keeping thinking big....product creation is one of the best things you can do online both in terms of personal satisfaction received and income - passive income! - potential. But you have to create products there's a market for so do your homework. :-)

I know product creation is a really big market, but I'm not sure if it's right for me...I think I might be better suited to CPA offers. We'll see. Right now I'm going with the quickest and surest way of making money online...offering a service. Although I may have jumped the gun with this one; I didn't do any market research to verify there was a demand for my service. Kinda stupid, but we'll see how it goes.
