Reselling Websites Fast?

Hey All,

Without pulling any strings here, I need to make some quick money, so while my long-term projects remain under construction, I am pondering the thought of "flipping" some websites.

I had purchased an extensive amount of PLR and Master Resell Rights packages (months ago), and currently own nearly 200 domains to date.

While I had originally purchased these items for personal use, I did buy the master resell rights to them all with the intention to build a membership site and/or a zencart store...eventually.

Any way, my concern is that of the 75 or so of these resell websites, I currently DO NOT have any traffic analytics or any sales statistics to offer new buyers, does that matter?

My hope was to be honest (?) and set a limit of say 6 sales per site, include a step-by-step set-up video w/detailed instructions, a few bonuses, and a relevant premium domain paid for 1 year.

Thus, I wouldn't necessarily be trying to fool anyone that these are reseller sites, or imply they are unique.

-How bad will this hurt my sales?

These sites have great landing pages, digital download products built-in, affiliate page, download pages, and would offer either personal use only or master resell rights to the buyer...

Here's my biggest hurdle, I have each site stored in a .zip ready for delivery whereby, a buyer will need to edit the site(s) accordingly. I can include a step-by-step video tutorial that shows the easiest way to set them up, and upload the files.

Is it feasible or even permissible to have an "example" site set up on a domain for viewers to explore, then just send buyers the .zip, a new premium domain, the set-up video, and will include a few give-a-way bonuses (eBooks) to sweeten the offer?

I have seen other Warriors here who sell niche blogs mentioning that there's good money in buying and reselling sites on Flippa and some other platforms.

If I did auction a few sites per week, and set a reserve of say $25, when a purchaser buys the website, do I just email them the .zip file and any bonuses I'll include and then "push" the associated domain (Usually with GoDaddy) to them separately?

Sorry for my inexperience here, but time is of the essence, and while I am not looking for any easy way out, there's is a pressing need to get some mullah flowing or I may be in serious trouble here!

Right now, anything would help, but I am aiming for around maybe $175-$250 per week from this, which seems doable...

Finally, I had another plan to offer "buyers" assistance in setting the sites up if they need help, and had a 'hunch' I could easily get some future recurring income flowing once I establish a customer base.

Again, this is deviating from my 'greater interests' which is working on my authority site, but that won't start producing income for another 2-3 months, as I cannot promote it until it's ready.

Thanks in advance!

All the Best,

Art

I'd see a couple strategies you could use.
1.) For the sites you haven't built yet, just create a WSO.
2.) Build the sites fully out and sell them on Flippa. There is one particular seller on flippa who does about 8 "turn key membership sites" like this a week for about $400 each.

eBay..? Really? How many sites you sold there?
That's the worst place to sale websites.
Before placing any ads overthere, go and compare "completed sales" with sites
similar to the ones you want to get rid of.

If I were you I'll keep them and build a feeder sites or an auto blog sites... This way you don't have to keep looking after them and all you do is heavily focus on one niche. After a year sell it for a better price.

I have bought and sold on flippa and having no traffic on these sites, as you described, is not going to be an issue for you - advertise you have "new" sites.

Yes, I would also include the video guide.

And, for the site so people can view it - definitely do this - people want to view a site before they buy it.

    Hope that helps!

      Thanks Christine,

This so far has been the most credible answer I've heard yet. I was nearly ready to "Abort the Mission".

I had seen someone else sell a "5 site bundle" a few months ago with similar websites made by the same designer, and if I recall they went for $1,150... but s/he clearly bought some traffic to show 1,000+ visitors for a 1 month old site. -I'll skip that rouse.

Being these are Master Resell Righted products, and quality (IMHO) there's no ethical or legal issues stopping me from selling them on flippa.

The only downer is the lack of traffic and revenue, so I'm doing my best to make them 'valuable' by including 'extras' -*installation video, some bonus materials, etc.. to serve those looking for the "business-in-a-box" type site.

Again, with a minimum reserve of $25 per site with domain, video training, and some bonuses, I can definitely sleep at night if they sell.

      Thanks again.

I agree, theirs a website called flippa that they mentioned above that does just what your looking for, but be very careful that you don't get "nipped" in the butt by one of the sellers. Find out EXACTLY what your buying before placing a bid, or vice versa. I also agree that ebay would be another great place to go, but I do prefer flippa.

    Cheers!

Sites are sold on flippa all the time with little to no traffic or revenues claims. The thing is though you need to stat that in your auction and include analytics even if you don't have any traffic. You could look into selling some of them as a bundle package too, I see a lot of site being sold that way as well. Never forget here on the forums you can find buyers for your sites.
