Social media, powerhouse or lame duck !!
Do you spend hours and hours of your life trying to flog the Social Media Horse to bring traffic to your offer !!
I certainly hope not,
Social Media is great, it is fun, it brings people together, and YES, you can even drive traffic from social media sites "Eventually".
You see, people are not there to buy, people are there to chat and catch up with old friends etc, you dare to try and crash their party and you are out !!
Just like the physical world would you walk into a social gathering and start to try and sell your wares, NO NO NO NO NO, and another big NO !!
Social media plays by the same rules as it does in real life, the same principles. Now im not saying you cannot drive traffic, you can, but you would be far better building respect off say Facebook and then building your fan base on Facebook, just like if say Georgio Armani crashed a party selling signed t shirts !!, he would have a chance because he has already built a name outside that party.
I always find it strange to see the gurus shouting about the power of social media and take a look at the amount of traffic they are getting on Facebook,
i guess they are, but then i go and find them in several OFF facebook areas and they are driving traffic back to facebook !! this looks great for their facebook stats and their social media product !!
Yes you can drive traffic via social media, but $ for $ your time as a newbie would be well better spent driving traffic from other methods until you get respect, then people will sit up at that party when you walk in the door !!
