Hey Warriors,

Although I mainly work in the offline marketing world, this relates to both online and offlline. It's also a huge tip for you to stop wasting money you could be spending elsewhere.

I'm talking about "Spray & Pray". If you don't know this term it's basically the act of spending a bomb on advertising and spraying it in every direction you can in the hope that you'll get a few leads out of it. "Why doesn't this work?" Well, it does.. but there's a better way.

All you really need to do is a little research. As a marketing consultant I see so many businesses who think they know their marketing. Only last week I spoke to a lady who has spent £15k last year on a radio gig and pays £300 for her SEO monthly. She's now our client and she has solid marketing strategy to go against now. She's also only paying us £100 for SEO with a system she can actually see working.

Instead of blowing her budget for her with the spray & pray method.. instead we simply showed her to people who were after her service. She's in real estate.. so naturally we went after people who were buying or selling houses.

Facebook - Target people who like pages such as 'Rightmove' & 'haart'.

Website - Google places, regional keywords.

You get the idea, I can't give away our plan for obvious reasons. The point I'm trying to make is, spend time to find the people who have an interest in your niche. Because once you do it pays off, trust me. And once that happens your client is going to be happy, which means you get more social proof against your brand and they will be inclined to spend more on their budget.

I'm sick of companies who want nothing more than to make money for themselves, the whole point of this business is to be an expert for someone to invest in and get results back. Look at every client as your own business, because at the end of the paycheck, it really is.
