Hi guys, I know this question has been asked a thousand times but I had to ask. I'm feeling a little discourage and really don't know where to start. If you wanted to make 500.00, how would you go about making this happen. Keep in mind that I have never made any money from internet marketing.

Thanks,

Liz

Yes, I have knowledge of internet marketing. I know how to do basic keyword research, I know how to set up a blog and familiar with article marketing.I have a lot of ideas but I don't stick with one idea. The problem is I have so much information that I don't know which path to take. I would really like to start with the student loan niche because I want to work at paying off my student loans.

    1) What do you have to offer that is of value?

    2) Find someone willing to pay you for that value.

You might know photoshop. You might teach photoshop.

Perhaps you know how to draw a great portrait. Perhaps you can teach that.

Maybe you can offer service. Etc.

Figure out what value you can offer and offer it.

Do you think it's as simple as just offering your wisdom, talent, skills for sale? Don't you think some areas are a little too saturated?

If you're referring to an e-book on how to paint, use photoshop etc then only people who are absolutely desperate to learn would, but there are so many free resources out there why would people buy it. But I agree, obviously to a certain extent you need to know what you're talking about otherwise people will get suspicious of what they bought.

Best advice for you is to stick to one idea for a couple of months and make it work.

It seems like you are just looking for the easy way out and trying to find that magic button that will deposit money into your bank account. If you have the knowledge, then you do not have any excuse. Get to work!

Thanks, I need to hear that. I am going to work on committing to one project and sticking to it.

Elizabeth, it is so easy to be distracted by so many new ideas about making money. It will help to make a list of your current ideas. Pick one or two and really try at only those for a few months. This is what finally worked for me. I promised myself that I wouldn't try any new ideas until I saw my other projects through.

Yes, decide to go into the student loan niche, make a plan, and then take action. Don't stop until you succeed.

    Just get going!

If I had to absolutely make $500.00 right now, I would do the following:

    1. Select five good niches (not overpopular like weight loss, rather, something with medium popularity, any kind of hot product or whatever).

    2. Register 5 domain names (or utilize any good ones you already have).

    3. Install Wordpress on each one, along with a nice looking theme.

    4. Fill up each blog with 5-10 posts (as long as the front page looks full enough, you're usually fine, but I typically have around 7-8 posts total).

    5. When it looks pretty, and has content, sell each blog over at Digital Point for $100 each.

Now, if you're good at creating blogs and don't mind spending time on them to make them look exceptionally good, then obviously you wouldn't need five of them to make your $500. I've sold blogs that were only a few days old for $400-$500, but the point is, if you have a decent looking blog with good content which revolves around a profitable niche, they're pretty easy to sell for a little extra cash.

I did this about six months ago when I had an emergency expense, and made $1200 from four blogs, so yes, it can be done, and many, many internet marketers do it every day!

If you already know about this technique, I apologize, but perhaps it will help someone else out there. Yeah, it requires tedious work, but it's QUICK money when you need it!

There are lots of ways to make $500 online. You could write articles for another Internet marketer, put up a blog and earn money through Adsense clicks and affiliate sales, sell domain names on eBay, and design blogs for other people (all methods I've personally used to generate some good money online). But, like others have said, the important thing is to find something you enjoy and focus on that until you're making a solid income with it. Only then should you attempt to add another income stream, otherwise you will undoubtedly suffer from information overload while trying to learn two things at once!

Very sound advice . Now the part of finding something you like to do takes a really really long time . Least for me it did .

Once you actually get up some working capital it really makes thing easier but you can actually start making a income online with no money what so ever . I think I started with bum marketing and let me tell you I HATED IT !

Least now I get to do something I enjoy and get paid for it .

My friend, I nearly pointed out Sitepoint (I've sold a TON there myself, and I'm well versed in the marketplace aspect of selling blogs), however, I find it's A LOT easier to flip "amateur" blogs for a quick $100 on Digital Point, and not only will you stand a better chance, you'll avoid the listing fee (which for a couple low cost blogs can eat a decent amount of profit).

On the other hand, if you can whip up something nice enough to sell for a decent chunk of change on SP, then by all means, go for it! But I'm assuming since the poster was new, that it probably would be better to flip them to the cheaper crowd over at DP.

But, yeah, no doubt, SP will usually fetch you more money (but the market seems VERY dry lately!).

        Thanks

So you believe (BFMedia) that digital point is better as a whole for more amateur blogs and that sitepoint works better for blogs that are more refined? could you expand on that a little. Thanks.

Thanks guys! I like the idea of selling the blog on Digitalpoint or Sitepoint. I'm working on sticking with one thing and coming up with plan.

If you had to ask, then why didn't you put a question mark(?) in your title thread????

Sorry, but a real pet peeve with me...I wouldn't have opened this.

Have you all noticed that we are all up against a common enemy....sticking with one thing and following through on it before moving on to something else. Someone should create a product around this idea!
