Quick Wordpress Questions...

Hi fellow Internet Warriors,

Just got a few quick questions that hopefully someone can answer:

First off, my Wordpress site is currently experiencing great Search Engine rankings so I definitely don't want to jeopardize these. I use the SEO Ultimate plugin and utilize the meta data function religiously as well as the deep-linking feature and several others.

I believe that using a separate SEO plugin for these features overrides any tags/settings my Wordpress theme may include but am not 100% certain. Could someone clarify this if they know?

My question is this, are there any themes I could install that may harm my SEO efforts/rankings due to bad coding/Java/JavaScript/Flash/etc (or will SEO Ultimate continue to override any settings a theme may try and change)?

My site is an e-Commerce site and I am considering a premium theme from ThemeForest. Anyone have any experience with these guys?

    Yep. For example, if your theme is coded to have the Page Title after Site Title, and you use a SEO plugin, you can set that plugin to reverse the order.

    Why not ask the developer?

    You can also view the source of the theme and see what extra code is added, the order of page elements, etc.etc.etc. That might help too.
