The Art Of Getting Back Up - what's your story?

I'm doing some research these days, and for that I'm really interested in what it took for you to become an internet marketer, but more importantly: how to stay one.

There's an interesting topic going on these days here on the forum, called http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...bies-fail.html

The core of it is someone going into internet marketing and can't overcome whatever the obstacle is. But this happens to "oldies" as well, or the slightly more experienced than newbies.

So to all newbies, experienced, "oldies", there's no secret that the reason for, I would guess a lot of, failure is one's inability to complete a program for a number of reasons. It could be financial setback, emotional setback, sheer panic, laziness, whatever. Or you were just unlucky and got a worthless program.

What I'm curious about is -

In which part of the process did you stumble or give up?

Was it when it got a bit technical, for example setting up a website, and you just never got around to figuring it out?

Was it when one strategy - say, an ad on Google - didn't pan out and you were afraid to try another?

Did you simply get exhausted by information overload, so once you devoured all the information there was mentally or emotionally nothing left of you to come up with a strategy and a plan, and putting what you learned into action?

For whatever reason you stumbled or gave up (for a while), why and how did yo get back up? It doesn't even have to be your own experience if you don't want to, maybe you can just share what you know someone else went through.

Looking forward to reading your stuff!

Henri

For me it was being too scared to try things for myself. I would just buy wso after wso and follow them rigidly and was never happy with the results. After I hit a breaking point I started focussing on providing value on this forum by offering services. Now I have reached a point where I think for myself and have found it to be beneficial. I just work out what value I am able to provide for others and exchange it for money.

    Hope that helps.

      Thanks, man!

May I ask what the 'breaking point' was?

It's interesting, and I have been a victim of this myself, that it is so scary to try something like this, going into internet marketing, by yourself, but to keep up the feeling of making progress, you just buy more information over and over again, when you should have bought whatever that would have helped the business (ppcs, hosting etc).
