Marketing for Production Music?

I know some warriors here are involved in the music industry/ niche and may be able to give some advice about marketing your music.

I'm wondering how to market music I've created that can be used for TV, film or radio, it could be used for other purposes but I created it with these uses in mind. It might seem a bit heady but that's the direction I want to head in with creating and selling music.

I've been testing out marketing it on CD Baby, YouTube and through my blog but obviously need a bit more of a marketing plan to sell this type of music to the target market and getting it licensed.

How do you get your music in front of the right people? Especially with anything focused on the media/ production as it seems more about networking than marketing. Or maybe it's a bit of both.

      Hi Ehanson

I think your search is a bit like asking "How can I write a hit record."
There is a lot of luck and "who you know" involved. I think that you should network face to face with the players in your market and hope that you can get to them. It's very hard to know what else to do.
