Too Many Non Paying Members

6 replies
I created a membership site recently using amember. I was away for a couple of weeks, and when I came back I saw around 400 people tried to register but stopped at the payment page (clickbank). But amamber creates users at the first step, so I have hundreds of non-paying members. Obviously they have no access to the content.

Did anyone had same experience ever. How should I handle it?

Thanks for your advice.

    Is every person non-paying or did anyone actually send a payment? It is extremely odd that every single one of them decided to go through the process of signing up but not paying. Unless it was a bot, then I would guess there was an issue with the order form. Have you tried going through the entire process of making the payment? You can shoot me a PM to the site if you want and I will try going through the entire process.

      Is the price clearly displayed well before the actual paying stage?

    @Chase Watts

    Not every person is non-paying. A few has purchased the membership. So, its not an issue with the payment processing.

    @Azarna

    Yes, its clearly displayed.

    Hey,

    I've never used amember but I own a membership site and use s2member which only creates accounts after the payment has been completed.

    Perhaps there's a way to change the signup process to make sure that payment is processed before registering for the site.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks

    Thanks. In amember, there is a way to delete the non-paying account, but no way to prevent account creation for non paying members.

    @all

    Thanks for the feedback, but I am sure that amember users must have faced the similar issue. Please share any tips you might have regarding the issue.
