Super Affiliates Work Direct With The Advertiser

Suppose you wanted to work direct with a company but they didn't have a lead/sales tracking system already installed. What would be the best and easiest way to get dependable tracking set up with them?

If it is list building for leads then the number of responsive names and emails...is that what you mean by "a lead/sales tracking system"?

    Best Regards

I'm saying you are working direct with a company, not going through an affiliate network. So this company has no way to track any sales I send their way.

      I'm considering HasOffers.com

I've set up referral tracking directly with 3 local businesses. What I did was have the merchant provide a discount code, which I promote like crazy - nobody can miss it. When referrals mention the discount, I'm credited with a referral.

I also have a contact form on the sites which automatically tracks referrals when filled out.

In a week or 2 I'll add live chat to the sites which also collects info for tracking (and helps sales).

You can also get your own telephone number that tracks calls. I trust my merchants so I don't bother with a custom tel. number, but may consider it in the future.

Is it foolproof? No. I trust the referral tracking system in place with the merchant business. Some referrals will no doubt not be tracked. However, the commissions I've negotiated range from $250 to $1,000 plus per referral, depending on the value of the referral. Therefore, it's well worth the risk. I'm referring a decent number each week and I have very little competition except for other local merchants who focus on PPC.

I came up with this idea when about 7 months ago I entered into a referral arrangement with a global software company who didn't have a publicized affiliate program. Within 2 weeks I was sending 5 to 10 referrals each month. The commission is amazing and recurring. Ranking was easy because they didn't have other affiliates (maybe a couple, but nobody knew about their affiliate program). That's when I realized there's HUGE potential for creating direct referral deals with companies who don't have affiliate marketing programs.

It's more legwork in seeking out local and global merchants who fit with your site/niche. Then there's negotiating a deal (one negotiation took 3 to 4 months). However, now that a few arrangements are up and running, it's highly lucrative.

Also, now I have references for jumping into any geographic location and making deals with other merchants. There's really no limit given the number of mid and large towns/cities.

I can tell you that I go all out promoting these businesses because the commissions are so lucrative. It's much better than a flat rate monthly SEO deal and easier to sell to merchants because they only pay when they get customers.

Be sure to seek out merchants and businesses who do a good job. Ensure there aren't tons of negative reviews about them because you'll have a hard time selling them.

If you're working a private deal and are wondering whether it's worth, I highly recommend you give it a try. Promote them like crazy - focus on it for 3 months and you'll see results.
