Sometimes The People That Ask Questions In WSO's Make Me Crazy!

Have you ever gone shopping for an appliance for your kitchen? Let's say for example, you are shopping for a new shiny blender. Now, when you get to Sears and you find your favorite blender you call the sales guy over to ask some questions.

You: I love this blender! Tell me, does it also make toast?

Salesman: Umm, no sorry. It's a blender.

You: Oh OK. So, it won't make me breakfast either?

Salesman: Umm, nope won't do that either. If you read the description you can see that it's a...ummm.....a blender. It blends.

You: Oh OK. This probably isn't what I need then.

Seems ridiculous right? So why does it happen so much in WSOs? It's unreal! Hey people! Stop asking for the world on WSO's and other products in general. And stop asking if WSO's do this and that and this and that, stuff that has nothing to do with the product. Did you even read the salespage? WSO's and any other products you may buy to help your business are just tools and guides, and one purchase won't give you everything!

You still have to use your head! And you still have to work!

    Ha! Couldn't agree more!

I swear some of these people aren't aware that post count isn't counted in the WSO section and they are posting in the hope of improving their post count. Most of the time I swear they've not read the sales page.

The worst one I had was someone saying that my WSO was too expensive....

You don't walk into a car show room and start telling the sales staff that they're too expensive? You just don't buy what you can't afford.
So, why do it in a WSO?

Usually, if the post is completely uneccessary, I just report it.

    Just my thoughts...

    Thanks
    Eleanor

I think I will wait for a review on this blender before purchasing.

Are you sure you wouldn't like to request a review copy of the blender? Just to check it doesn't make toast

The WSO forum seems like a very strange market place. I haven't been a member here long, but when ever I am on the forum the WSO section has about 5000 people viewing it, with about 10% of that as a maximum in other sections.

From what I can see, a lot of people see it as a something for nothing place. People also seem to just buy stuff; like it is going to be a magic bullet or something that makes them rich...

NB: Eleanor, I used to sell Mercedes Benz [a few years back now] and yeah people really do walk in and tell you they are too expensive. I also sold fords, prior to this; same happened. People are mental!

I find people asking questions that are answered in big red headlines in my listings, so I can only assume that many do not read the sales pages very well.

The only thing worse than all the stupid questions on a WSO is dead silence.

hahahaha a neat trick i noticed since signatures are no longer allowed there is that people are putting their signatures inside the posts. usually with 0-5 posts of their own, but gotta admire the effort.

I want a refund on the blender. Yeah I know I haven't bought it yet but I know already I am going to ask for a refund so I thought I would save time and ask in advance.

Oh, yeah, my reason for the refund is that it doesn't come with a toaster!

Um, yeah I ask pertinent questions if I am not 100% up to speed with the product. It's normally called due diligence.

Dumb questions are often just buyer objections.

      Sales 101.

Sure, some people are lazy or just dumb... but you take the good with the bad.

      Still doesn't warrant a thread.

Questions...they come at you from everywhere...

A guy walks into a convenience store and buys 2 boxes of condoms.

The clerk asks him if he wants a paper bag with his purchase.

"No, she's not that ugly", the guy answers back.

When I go to buy a blender I get to look at the product on the shelf or take it out of the box.

I also don't have to listen to the salesman drone on for 30 minutes about how every other blender on the market doesn't work, and how amazing this blender is, without actually telling me what it does.

I also don't have to listen to him telling me this blender will be the only kitchen appliance I ever need, only for him to try and sell me a $300 bread machine as soon as I've purchased it.

With the amount of junk out there at the moment, I don't blame people for asking questions.

If however your sales letter is short, to the point and contains the information they're asking for without them having to trawl through 100 user testimonies and 6 buy now buttons, then yes, it would be a little annoying.

        Just wondering...

If I was selling you a blender in a plain cardboard box. You weren't allowed to see it until you paid for it... But I told you everything it did... would you buy it?

It would depend on a few things...

Whether or not I'd bought from you before.

Whether or not I'd been able to research the product elsewhere.

Whether or not I'd been able see that a few other people had used it and were happy with it.

Not all the criteria above would have to be addressed.

I get a lot of those it just comes with the territory, it's all part of what makes it fun. Plus it's not really their fault some of the not so honest marketers have conditioned them to think that way, so i look at it as my job to help them come out of that and learn real ways of making money.

I hate to be a sour puss. But remember, there are no dumb questions. Those are all possible prospects for your product. And as the majority of the population are dumb as a box of rocks, what can you expect.

Don't deride them, take pity on them. They need help more than most. And the reason for this forum as I understand it is to help people succeed in internet marketing. So pat them on their head and help them, answer their questions.

LoL Bill, It happens because in some WSO owners don't provide enough information about the product which creates confusion about whether that WSO suites your need or not.

If salespage has everything a buyer should know before purchase still buyer can have questions which should be answered.

There are lots of WSO's get launched every other day and those who have made purchase to another similar product would definitely like to know whether i am going to buy a product with similar information or their is something new.

Bill: Different kind of thing as well, when you do offer them the world they don't want it. people don't want to work yet everything requires an action. Downright craziness what goes on in that section lately.

Maybe those selling their WSOs should write better sales pages...I haven't been a member long, and I'm already sick and tired of the cookie cutter sales pages filled with "eye catching" fonts and colours, along with sales commissions that may or may not be true. In fact, if you're not going to bother holding my hand, and showing me step by step how you arrive at the daily/weekly/monthly income that you're displaying, the don't even bother...

Hey, how about I work my ass off and feed you and your family and pay for your housing? that sounds even better to you...RIGHT?

    Thanks reimer!

If these guys really want to help people out, then help people out! I don't care if you charge $7 or $7,000...all everyone wants is results.

For the record, I'm not talking about those that think that they can do nothing and expect something in return, I'm talking about those that genuinely are dedicated to being successful in the IM game.

There is no point in going crazy over the questions people ask. Sometimes buyers need to hear it many times before it all clicks for them. From now on, don't expect them to read the copy. Give each person who ask a personalized response. When I see a WSO seller doing this, I get the sense that he or she cares about others. They understand how the buyer must feel and are not judgemental in anyway (I've seen one WSO that had thousands of posts and the seller just politely answer the same basic questions over and over again to different individuals) That builds rapport and trusts and making a buying decision becomes easy.
