"BUYING" a list

Perhaps a little unorthodox to bring this up in a site that encourages affiliate marketing, but have many vendors had success with buying a list as opposed to working with a list owner? The sorts of lists I'm talking about are from NextMark etc for highly targeted niche lists, not from those dodgy fiverr gigs that promise to sell you half a million emails for 5 dollars (which I guess explains those 'enhancing pills' emails that populate our inboxes!).

I've searched NextMark, and they have a list that would be perfect for my niche, and they claim to have hundreds of thousands of email addresses for people who have bought similar products. But I imagine the outlay would be quite high. If anyone's ever increased their sales this way, have you been able to negotiate the price in exchange for commission etc?

    I never trust on buying a list....

    Reason is simple:

    If they are having such thousands of responsive people then they could become a millionaire... Why they are not using their email list??

    Answer is Simple: Lists are no way targeted as well as they have got those emails from the other websites or like this...

    PS: Emailing to unknown persons is SPAMMING which is a CRIME !!

    So Beware !!

    i tried buying similar lists from this very forum, as well as places like you mentioned in the past. don't trust them. i agree with the above post, NOBODY with a list as responsive as they say would sell you that list. they would use it to make millions of dollars

    I also do not agree with list buying. Just promote your website and use SEO to get your needed traffic.

    Don't waste your money or time.
    I have bought numerous lists over the years, from supposed legit companies, and they are useless.
    Build your own list, takes longer, but worth it in the end.

    I would suggest a scraper to make your own list over an over, as well as a squeeze page with in opt-in mod
