Traffic for the men's fitness and bodybuilding niche

Hey warriors!

So I've been recently considering looking into the men's fitness niche which, in many instances, is just considered the bodybuilding niche. So say I were to just go the basic way and create a short and free report to give away on my squeeze page so that I could capture their email.

What I want to know from you all is how you would try and build legitimate traffic to visit your squeeze page for this niche? I am not a fan of adwords and I believe google does not look kindly upon squeeze pages so those are two options out the window. What are some forums that I could add a signature that would get me traffic in that niche? I don't really know of any forums in that niche that would allow anything like that.

Any help from warriors that have gotten traffic in this niche?

Thanks!

Wish you all the best. Fitness niche is one of the hottest niches and the demand going to be increased in the upcoming years according to many recent surveys.

The best idea to promote this niche like any other niche is to go to clickbank and check which products in this category are moving well and sign as an affiliate, and the vendor will provide you all the affiliate tools and tricks to promote.

Once again all the very best.

One of my future sites will be a health and fitness blog, but from my perspective...being an athlete, as well as having played many different sports (and actively working out), I feel like I have a lot to contribute to others...but it's not going to be the same old same old. ;-)

I provide consulting for companies that use Adobe AEM...you can check out what I've done so far.

CPV (TrafficVance and LeadImpact) would probably be the best for you in all honesty. You can pop squeeze pages no problem and build a massive list very fast. Monetizing it however is completely on you.

Thanks! If you don't mind sharing, how would you draw in traffic to your site? If it will just be a blog then SEO for google would be possible. At the moment I don't think I will use a blog. I'll stick with just a squeeze page and if my list becomes large enough and I see a need for it, I'll create a blog.

Monetizing I don't believe to be a huge problem. There are tons of products, and I could probably even create my own. There are many possibilities! I'm not a huge fan of paid advertising, but I'm not too blind as to look into it. Thanks for your input!

I think, 1st you join to Yahoo, Mahalo and AOL question and answer niches. At least by giving answering them you can divert traffic to your site. Post your site ad on different classifieds I advise for Oodle, having 100+ networks including Myspace and Facebook.

Meanwhile keep searching for forums and blogs that allow you signatures.

I would buy banners on mens fitness websites and forums, as many of them as I could afford. Also mens magazines aren't out of the question either.

You can also buy first mail campaigns of people men who just joined gym memberships, or people who just started ordering fitness magazine subscriptions to build up your buyer traffic.

      Hi JoeMartin,

I'm currently registered on the Steve Pavlina forum "personal development for smart people" and that has a health and fitness category. This forum does allow signatures. I'm not sure its the best place, but its a start.

I'm also looking to build my list. I'm working on an exercise mindset niche.

Thanks! I hadn't thought about the Q&A sites. Those could be huge! I will definitely look into those and Oodle. I haven't done anything with Oodle before so could be worth a shot!

Thanks! I'm attempting to prove that I can make money without a huge start-up, so I might wait for the banners until I've made some money from this campaign. Then re-invest some of the profits into it. Where could I find lists of that nature? I think that could be a worthwhile investment at some point.

Inside the zip file is the free content + an internet shortcut back to my site, that way I get repeat traffic & If they share the content with friends I get that free traffic also.

You could do the same (zip file) then send the traffic anyplace you want (internet shortcut), I think the people that download the zip file click the internet shortcut just to see what it is.

I've had good luck with this simple process for a few years.
So do you mean you are just giving the report away with the rights to distribute it and hoping to make it become viral? If I did something of that nature, would I need two reports? One to become viral and lead them back to my squeeze page where I offer another? If I just used the same report, then once it exchanges hands, there would be no incentive for someone to sign up for my mailing list. Correct?

Thanks a lot! I took a look at that forum and it could definitely help! It also led to me finding multiple other forums that allow signatures! Everything needs a start so it was a huge help!

I'm not in the niche, but a great way to bring targeted traffic to your squeeze page would be to participate in the niche forums. There are bunches of forums out there for this niche. Add a link to your squeeze page in your signature and start participating. Start topics and provide helpful information; people will take notice and start visiting your link.
