Default Which Are The Best eMail Mailing Lists To Buy

Have people had any success by purchasing email mailing lists, iv'e tried a few in the past but with poor results, I was wondering if there are some effective mailing lists which are well targeted and genuine and up to date, cheers

Forget it.

You will get no results and will be spamming people.

It doesn't work.

Start building your own list and relationships.

Are they all Spam, even the opt-in ones such as rent-a-list?

The people on the list did not give YOU permission to email them - so you are spamming them.

Again - build your own list.

I too never got any results using mailing list, waste of time. Best thing to do is affiliate. Let someone who has a mailing list promote your product and offer them a commission on the sale.

If someone took the time and trouble to build a genuine, well-targeted list in any given niche, why would they sell it for $30 (or whatever), it would be gold-dust...

... which is exactly what the list you build for yourself will be ;-)

Well.....not completely a waste of time. If you were to advertise in an ezine that was mailed out to targeted subscribers you might find a few gold mines.

Of course, it can take a lot of research and money testing and finding legitimate ezines that have 'responsive' lists. So...I disagree that this is a waste of time or "spamming"...but you should be prepared to spend a lot of money 'testing' these out.

And this model probably works best for 'news-style' emails (they send out targeted articles and offers to their subscribers every week or month)...of course, that's just my 'feel' on it...like I said, you'll need to spend some money testing these out.

I would agree with Tim... Most of those so-called list are not opt-ins looking for what YOU have to offer them. Most of the time these list are created by someone signing up for something else and not giving permission to be added to any list.

Bottom line it is Spam and nothing more.. Never, Ever, Never Buy a Mail List. Build your own list or do a JV with someone.

Were could I start with my crazy experience with purchased email lists... I have bought huge lists before and sent them out with my own auto-responder... I'm talking 1000's of emails per day.

I did end up making a few sales and getting a couple of people to join my biz opp. The end result using this method is bad, really bad...

I had domains shut down for spam several times, I even got banned in one of my business because of spam complaints, having people send you nasty emails wanting to know who you are and how you got there email is no way to start your day...

It will work but its not worth the trouble trust me... It's not that hard to create your own leads which is what I do now...

You get a better lead, you know were it came from and so on... I would rather have 1 lead I created on my own than mail to a list of 5000 purchased leads...

To Your Success,

Michael Paul

Most AR companies will not allow you to use a purchased list if they know about it. And if you don't tell them, and they catch you - bye bye account. Buying email lists is just a really quick way to being banned.

The only way around this is some sort of co-sponsered mailing. Many of the large online newsfirms (CNET, Compliancy Week, etc) will rent you a list. These lists are from folks who have opt'd in to receive mailings from 3rd parties and approved vendors. You will not be getting these for $30 - try hundreds to thousands of $$.

Try the other JV forums here at WF to see if you can't find a fellow warrior to swap mailings, better than getting your AR or internet account banned.

best,

Basically, it's a waste of time. It's money better spent by building your own list. But I have heard Steven Wagenheim having some success with this. Check him out..

Why not spend the money on a test PPC campaign? You'll get targeted prospects to your offer or opt-in and not be spamming anyone?

He wasn't talking about ezine advertising.
He was talking about buying an opt in list.

That is absolutely spam and ineffective

There you have said it. Don't expect more than that.

Bro... I'm a newbie here...

The very first online income opportunity I learned is Email Marketing. It may sound so freaking easy but the idea of sending random emails to unsuspecting recipients is just plain unethical. I'm glad to find a fellow countryman hanging on with the good and right way to earn online. "bisdak pud ko bay..."

I would focus on building your own list, I wouldnt worry about buying a list, The money is in the relationship you have with your list

Never ever buy mailing list because they are just complete waste of time, but if you consider buying mailing list try not make yourself look very spammy, instead talk to them on a 1-1 basis as a friend, trust me it works because not only are you allowing yourself not to look spammy but make your self trustworthy, thats one of the keys I learned in Email lists but then again don't bother buying its a complete waste of time.

Don't buy any mailing list.
>For starters you will most probably be accused of spamming.
>Most of email list sellers are scams(emails are bogus)

and if you ask me safelists are no good either.
Start developing your own list

It's been said and from an internet veteran I will also say it -- don't waste your money on buying lists!

Problem on the net is everyone wants to make money but very few want to put in the work and time to get there. buying a list is a short cut that doesnt work.

Go the correct route which takes longer but brings results in the end...

I've tried getting a list from getresponse. 200 leads was about 80$. Maybe you can make this 80 bucks even with few sales, but still fact remains that nobody would like to have their email sold to stranger.

Again, many thanks for the very helpful replies, it's surprising as a lot of these email list websites look very genuine, professional and convincing such as rent-a-list and others and give you the impression of being 100 per cent opt-in lists, ie the subscribers on the list have agreed to be mailed etc, still there are a hell of a lot of rip-off merchants out there thesedays sadly.
