Amazon Review Site Question

Hi

For a fair while now, I have been researching Amazon and I am almost ready to venture into the world of selling physical products via Amazon.

I have done a ton of keyword research and have picked out a few niches I wish to target (ones which I also have a huge interest in too )

I intend to do a review style site featuring 4 or 5 products within each one of my niches but I have a question.......

Do you need to continually add new content to these types of sites to maintain good page rankings within google??

I have read some reports stating that once you have got these types of sites set up, they should be pretty much 'set and forget' provided you have done all of the SEO and backlinking tasks correctly??

Any advice would be appreciated.

James

I don't know about serps and all, but if you're reviewing a particular product on one page, then search results will display that single page only anyway... the rest of your site will have little use to the buyer of that specific product.

I've made 8 sales off a single static page on my amazon site the past few months, not that it's a big money niche or anything, but that's the whole concept of landing pages anyway... each landing page has to convert for you (what you're trying to convert on is another matter)... the more pages you have, the more 'entry paths' you have based on the KWs you optimized for...

    Hi!

If you've done your research correctly you will have no problem reaching high search results. Rather than creating one big general niche website try to focus on only a few products out of a small niche.

That's pretty much what I'm doing. I have a small niche which have 3 or 4 related products attached to it.

So my site will have probably 4 pages (i.e the product reviews for 4 products)

      Thanks for the advice guys.

Don't forget the page where you put all 4 products on comparing their (technical) features side by side. I love these tables as I get a really quick overview. Linking these to amazon with a link stating "More Info" or "Details" works quite well.

Also add about / contact / privacy info pages to the site.

          Thank you for the suggestions.

I have those covered so will be adding them in. Just need a decent WordPress template to use and I'm away.

If you do proper on-page and off-page SEO (link building), you can 'set & forget'.
