Tools, Tools and Tools... well wrenches!

I have been doing research in the tools niche and was wondering its true potential for quantities since shipping costs for heavier items may reduce profits.

I understand that everyone buys tools and there are a gazillion tools out there. Does anyone have any insight into the tools niche?

Are you looking to promote tools as an affiliate?

If so, I don't see why the weight would be an issue. People buy some ridiculously heavy stuff online and still pay the shipping.

You have to realize that when people buy tools from their local stores, there is also a shipping cost involved - it's just tacked onto the price. The tool got to the store somehow, after all.

Of course, the shipping cost is lower than when buying online, since stores can truck all of the tools in together. But any increase in shipping cost when buying tools online may be offset by the decreased prices that are usually available online compared to local stores.
