Google Places question from a newbie

I am looking at a city + plumber google search, on the first page are the listings but all the upside down teardrops are clear and not red...does this mean that no one has claimed a listing for that keyword?

They've changed the looks of things recently. They're all gray now (some might still look the old way, I don't think it's 100% rolled out yet). If you hover over them, they turn red. The only way to know for sure whether a listing is claimed or not, is to look at the listing itself and see if it's an owner-verified listing.

This is a recent change in the way Google is presenting GP information. Looks like the only way to click through to the GP page is by clicking on the tear drop. You can't tell if the listing is verified or not by the tear drop, you have to click through.
