Is WP-Daangg a good name for a plugin?

Hi Warriors,

As some of you might have already know, I am going to launch a plugin which will help to get a heavy boost in your serps and I am on the edge of finalizing a name for the plugin and the name I am thinking for it is "WP-Daangg"..with its description as "Gets a daangg in your serps"

Does it makes sense if we come up with a new word as a name??

Any other suggestions??

Thanks,

It does make sense to make up a new word or spelling especially if you are looking to build your brand with it. Also, people may be looking through a list of plugins, see yours, and think "That's a weird name I wonder what it is?"

Just remember, before the sites were created who would have thought that words like eBay, Google, and blog would become household names?

i don't think so, i think you should incorporate what the plugin does in the title.

that way it gives people searching an instant recognition of about what it does.

      so something like,
      serp builder
      link master

or whatever indicates what it does

      How about serps up!
Slogan: Ok web surfers serps up, are you ready for the wave?

Cause if your slogan is get more bang for your buck I you might have a few 'poking' fun at you with something called Daang bang. Just a thought.

Daangg made me think of a word you would use instead of swearing

"Dang" doesn't even make sense to me as a replacement for a swear word but I'm a Brit who has little tolerance for expansion on the English language.

You made the right decision to name it after what it actually does.

        "Dang" is a US expression.

It made sense to me, never should have watched the Beverly Hillbillies reruns

Descriptive works best for me too. If I got an email promoting something called Daangg I would be less likely to check it out than I would if the name sounded like something I wanted or needed.

Then you're going to want to give it a name which explains as much:
    WP SerpsBoost
    WP BoostSERPS

People aren't going to buy your plugin because it has some fancy imaginative name. They'll buy it based on the strength of how you're selling it and what it offers.

You can hype up inexperienced internet users and sell them a thing or two.

But webmasters often feel that cheap marketing hype making titles and names are just awful.

Use a word that isn't slang and is easy to remember.

A misspelling of an American slang term won't be quite as easy to remember

Plus someone might think that it's a plugin that functions as an "undo"

You know, like "DANG I didn't mean to post that image..."
