Default Looking for a greast rss software

Can anyone recommend a great rss submitter?
Prefferably one that does not require a monthly payment.

Sincerely

Trust me when I say submit it yourself. Software is crap and software will not submit you in the proper categories. When using software you have no idea if your feed was accepted or not ...

55 Active RSS Directories to Help Promote Your RSS Feeds!

A few of those even have some social 2.0 things built in which is good because it gives you the extra chance of participating.. When you participate in a site you can increase traffic.. Software can't do that for you ...

I use Big Mike's RSSBot. I get a few submission errors here and there, but most of them go through. If the software hits a site that uses captchas, it pops up and I have to fill it out. The software is easy to use and the WSO price was a one-time low price. The WSO is closed right now, but you should definitely jump on it once it returns. I'm personally waiting for his Socialbot to come back...missed it the last time around.

Hi,

I agree with Curtis and also use Big Mike's RSSbot and am very pleased with it. Anything that Big Mike and Incansoft produce is always top notch and does what is says it will.

Take care,
Dave

Finally after a long research about submissions tools, I decided to by Big Mike's products, but sadly the WSO is closed now and the links in incansoft don't seem to work anymore,
Am planning to contact him later about this

If you're looking for ping directories, you can use pingler.com until Big Mike's software is available.

It has over 90 directories that you can ping.

Hope This Helps!!

Another vote for Big Mike's RSSBot.

Submitting by hand is a waste of time in my opinion. You to have to choose which software you use carefully though. One highly promoted submitter was worse than useless and I actually regreted wasting even the $1 spent on the test :-)

I have noticed though that my results were as good if not better by using RSSBot and at a fraction of the time it would have taken me by hand.

I also use Big Mikes Rss software. I have checked it manually as best I can and so far no problems.

Greg White also has a good Rss submitter. I think it's called Top 200 Rss or something like that. I have used it before.

Your welcome Ben...

I also used BigMikes RSSBot, and I will not purchase another thing from him, support was non-existant, help buttons in software dont work, submissions will say they completed when they actually failed, there is no checking of your RSS Feed (not all feeds are the same and thus not all sites take the same kind of feeds), there is no reports...

Basically just another peice of software to fill up the hard-drive..

You should spend the time submitting yourself until such time someone comes up with a "real" solution that allows you to check, submit, setup profiles, give reports, and allows you to participate in the site..

As I said some RSS Directories have some functions of web 2.0 and you should take advantage of that and participate in the site because the rewards it can bring are much higher.

Why everyone wants a push button solution for everything is beyond me, I am not talking about you Ben but in general I see so many post about having software do everything for you.. This is a business people, run it as one.. Those that do want that push button everything don't realize the money they leave on the table.

Automation is nice but it has it's place ....

The RSSBot WSO has closed, and the sales page isn't up yet, but I'll let you in on a secret.

BIG Mike's new SEO ebook is in this thread, and in the book you'll find a link for RSSBot at the WSO price.

@BigMike or John...

Is what James saying true?

--------------------------

@James...

Are you talking about RSSBot or SocialBot in this thread? The reason I ask is that (a) they're different pieces of software and (b) you were saying these same things (above) about SocialBot in another thread:

Quote:
SocialBot 3 uses many unknown bookmarking sites which use a free script. 20 or 30 of the sites are even owned by the same person. There are only a few popular bookmarking sites in the software.

Also help button does not work and there is no way to tell if a submission really failed. For example if captcha pops up and I just press ok without entering anything, it still says it was submitted. Only way for you to tell if the submission actually went through is to go login and check.
-----------------------

So, Mike and John, what's the story on this one?

I'm guessing that a lot of people (me included) ponied up for these two programs recently via your (nutzoid, Amstel-fueled) WSOs.

But is what James saying--particularly in the second paragraph of what I quoted--true?

I'm sure it was true for him, but what I'm asking is whether it is more widespread and frequent.

Because if what he's saying is true, how would I know short of logging in? Which kind of defeats the purpose of automation, dunnit?

Not trying to stir up trouble here. Either there is a problem with the software not doing what it claims to do or there isn't. And customers deserve a response to claims such as this don't they?

I suspect you haven't responded because you don't want it to turn into a slanging match.

I have no desire to start or be part of a slanging match. But I bought those pieces of software in the hope that they would speed up this stuff. If I have to log in to check, then that's not going to work.

Your response is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
TheNightOwl

** bump **

I'd like to bump this thread. It's been a week and no reply on this thread.

Sure, I can contact BigMike directly, but I doubt I'm the only Warrior who'd like to know whether this software does what it says on the tin or not (especially with the recent WSOs)...

Maybe I'm wrong.

The software does exactly what I said.. I am not the only customer that has said this either.. I submitted a support ticket in Dec and I still have not got a reply or answer. I even posted a screenshot of that email and still my questions was not answered but I was cursed at and called a lair.

Not trying to start anything either but fact is software has issues and support is very poor. I purchased both and I am very displeased with what I got as both of them has issues...

I have to question the usefulness of submitting RSS feeds. Everything I read about it suggests these submissions result in a backlink. I am just not seeing that.

From what I can see these places the feeds get submitted to are nothing more than specialized search engines. Your feed link does not go on a static page somewhere. Therefore you don't get a link.

Now you can say that you get traffic from it, fine. But who uses rss search engines other than techy IMers like us? Certainly not the general public. Unless your niche is IM I can't see the point.

Overall I don't see much more benefit than submitting to a bunch more minor search engines.

I have not noticed backlinks, but I have seen the pages rank well for low competition keywords, specifically with Feedagg. I have had the feeds I submitted ranking higher than my Squidoo lenses and other Web 2.0 properties. That is why I submit my RSS feeds. You can get traffic through Google, not just from the RSS site. In this way it affects every niche, not just the IM niche.

I am searching through WF to find some info as well on RSSbot... I decided to buy based on what I saw in other posts and have been nothing but disappointed... I sent several emails in search of support but zero response.

Also, when I go back and search for the actual submissions I am unable to find them... literally. After 20+ separate submissions I am unable to find very few that actually made it... I find it hard to believe that the software didn't do most properly but wtf? Maybe it is a poor search script on the RSS sites but never the less... They aren't there and I need to redo...

It was 25$, not a big deal but what I am angry about is that my time has been wasted... Back to the drawing board.

You can use my service Traffic-Bug (link is in the signature). As long as you choose the proper categories it will solve the captchas and submit them for you

pingler and traffic-bug seem to be very good softwares right now.

Your site ranking can go from 100+ to Page 1 in one month. Don't try my service or you will be hooked!
