70% Conversion rate O.o

Okay.

So I've done a lot of tests online.

And I mean A LOT.

But conversion rates have always been a little tricky to me.

Until these last few weeks.

Somehow, I've started to convert like mad.

The funny thing is. I'm not even trying as hard as I used to.

Here's a screenshot of one of my converting forms:

Yea I know it's only had 181 unique displays. But 127 submission is pretty astounding.

It's been averaging a 70% conversion rate since the first 10 visitors.. literally.

Point is.

I don't have a long salescopy.

I don't have a super cool video.

No crazy graphics.

Nothing.

Just to the point.

I don't know about you.. but in my experience that's unheard of as I average a conversion rate of about 3% to 15% at most.

Anyways I thought I'd just share this.

What type of conversion rates do you feel are "normal" and what are the highest you have ever seen?

That's pretty cool Justin. It's hard for me to say what's "average", but a fanpage I recently ran an ad campaign for has been converting at about 75% (from views to likes). I haven't done much with it lately, though I probably should.

      Hey Justin,

      That conversion rate is great!

I'm in the process of testing my conversion rates and have not gotten any definite info yet. It kind of keeps on bouncing. I know I'm not being too organized with it, though.

How often did you change your sales copy? Or did you put different sales copy for every niche?

I've also found that sometimes different niches react differently to the same copy.

      Anyways, congrats!

        I'll be honest.

I only wrote the copy once. It's nothing special. No fluff.

I haven't changed the page since I released it.

I'm not great at testing out conversion rates because I get bored easily when I'm constantly staring at numbers.

The idea is that there is no real "sales" involved. It's just straight up, here's what you get.

Congratulations for this conversion rate. You are doing well mate. Keep testing, may be you could get more than that. Take care.

    @Klaaz0r.

    I agree.

Get rid of the fluff. No one cares about who you are or what you did (at first), they want to know what you have to offer.

Stop with the story telling and get right to the point

What you're doing makes sense. But, story telling and bullet points and expounding on the benefits, etc. do work too. I agree that you gotta talk a lot about the benefits the product will give the buyer.

Anyways, if you're getting such good conversion rates, just continue doing whatever you're doing.

See I think those are great things, but only for those interested in them.

Yes, bullet points are great, but that's included in "just being straight-forward" with people.

I feel the story telling can come later. That way you can build even more trust on the inside. Or maybe have a link in the footer for those interested.

Again, bullet points do help, but that's because they list things easily.

Try being straight forward in a future product/service/program or whatever you release Don't go crazy hardcore into everything, just tell them flatout what they are getting.
