Should I get a DBA?

Is it really necessary to have a DBA before creating any websites that produce cashflow?

    You don't have to get the DBA if you are just starting, at some point you can jump into it.

    You are starting it as a hobby until it actually start to produce cash.

        If you were writing all your own software from scratch it wouldn't hurt to talk to someone who does db work professionally to get their input/feedback, but for anyone just starting out with website building, no. "DBA" has a pretty specific meaning, and isn't needed when you're starting off. That said, if you're building database-backed websites and not just using some off the shelf stuff, there's some good data principles to learn. Find a DB friend and get their input on resources to be familiar with.

        All that said, it does feel pretty "down the road" for someone just starting out.

    Not when you are first starting out, But once you start earning some nice cash, You will probably need to get a DBA or LLC.. SO that they can tax you on your earnings.
