I spent the last 48 hours trying to create clickable images using every html/css trick I know. I even got the images to display in backpage's ad preview. However, the image disappear when the ad goes live.

If the "img" or "iframe" tag is used the following error message pops up "Offsite images, iframes, flash, and advanced HTML is not allowed in this category. Please use standard text and/or simple HTML such as: b, i, u, p, br, a, ul, ol, li, strong, em, and blockquote. "

What is most frustrating is you can casually browse backpage.com and view adds that use these so called "Offsite images, iframes, flash, and advanced HTML is not allowed".

    Go figuire

I ran a test and copied an ad in a different backpage.com category and city and was able to create an clickable image ad.

I guest clickable images ads are allowed in some categories and not in others.

That's A nice one. But wouldn't that take the visitor to the blog after clicking.

I think its a better way to just upload through your ftp.

Then Include the image url in the html code.

Simply pasting the HTML code into the box? Yeah, thought of that. Didn't work.
