Increasing Your Conversion Rate?

Right now I am making decent progress on the two websites I have. However, I feel like my conversion rate could be better.

Anyone who knows a lot about Clickbank conversion rates mind giving advice or even personally checking out my site (don't want to post it in public) to see if anything particularly stands out?

P.S. - Are conversion rates based on sales per visitor, or sales by clicks on the product's URL? Right now about 1 out of 3 people who visit my sites click on the product URL.

I would say 1 out of 3 is pretty good to be honest. It must be fairly compelling copy in order to convince 1 out of 3 to click though to the product page.

Your conversion rate is a result this basic equation: Clicks that resulted in buying/All clicks ... increasing your conversion rate is based on several things. Have you tried writing your copy a bit differently? Some words may increase your conversion rate if you do it properly also, having a very clean and simple looking site does the same. I'm not much of a website person so I can't say too much, but from what I've seen and done myself in the past, it works that way

You can get a variety of different types of conversion rates for different things, such as:
    • Squeeze page optin
    • Sales on your sales page
You should always test, and tweak your copy so that you get the maximum conversion rate, by sticking with what gives you the best conversion.

1 out of 3 is pretty high. That is a ~33% clickthrough rate on your site.

The conversion rate as mentioned in your Clickbank account is referring to the conversions from the visitors that have already clicked through to the third party sales page.

Many people say that it is now up to the vendor to maximize the conversions, however I strongly believe it comes down to the affiliate.

It depends on what keywords people are searching and the relevance of the product on your landing page.

"Free X software" will produce a horrible conversion rate on the vendors page if this is the keyword you are ranking for, however "Best X software" will produce higher conversions.

Thanks for the tips guys. Makes me feel better about things, because I thought my click through rate was low.

I guess it's more a matter of increasing traffic overall (and hopefully keeping the 33% to feel the need to click the link).

1 in 3 is amazing for a CTR. That's assuming that you've been getting enough traffic in order to make sure that the number is accurate.

I would focus on getting the traffic and then adjust accordingly.

      Sounds like you're doing well.

The first thing you should be testing on your websites is your headline. The headline is what is going to "pull" them into your website and help them decide whether they actually want to keep reading or not.

If you want to learn more about headlines and writing good copy in general you should go to thegaryhalbertletter.com and read all of his stuff. It's pure gold.

    Good luck

Web landing pages are probably the most critical element in the conversion funnel. Focus on tweaking and testing key copy and page elements. Match the lead copy and the landing page copy, and make a clear and compelling call to action.

Whenever we get into a hypothetical discussion, we always refer back to real-world testing.

Setup A/B split testing and do your research! Although, if you are truly at 33% conversion rate, any actions you take are likely going to reduce your CR

Conversion comes down, in my view, decent sales copy and targeted traffic. In the long term you can add product reputation to that.
