Hi Guys,
I don't know what others think but I have noticed very recently when purchasing WSOs that I am not receiving the product after purchase. In fact the last few weeks I have had to mail sellers or put Tran Id on thread. I expect better from sellers . I want instant access to the product I have purchased not to wait then send emails it's very frustrating.
Best Darren

    Hey,

It's probably a lot to do with third party programs/scipts or whatever that deal with the payment processing and product delivery. It is unfortunate that more and more sellers and buyers are experiencing issues and I agree that it's frustrating... but as a seller, it is also frustrating.

Sometimes even when you test the payment process, things run smoothly but for whatever reason, errors do occur.

I think if it were easier to deliver products after payments then these problems wouldn't exist as much as they do. So far, I've been quite lucky with my product delivery but I guess it depends on the system that's being used.

    Thanks
    Eleanor

I can't say that I've noticed any problems lately. Obviously there is an occasional technical error and you have to ask for the product.

I can't say that it's ever happened to me more than once or twice though. With my own products, I always make sure that the product comes straight away after purchase. I have it redirected to a download page and the product automatically sent by email just to make sure.

Most of my WSO-purchasing experiences have been fine though.

It's happened to me 5 out of last 10 purchased. Surely sellers get notification from Paypal they have been paid for the product. I understand that the provider may sell alot of products but to me the author is more concerned with replying to thread and sale rather than after the sale.

I think some of the sellers might be providing downloads as products sell to protect their information... in which case it wouldn't be instantaneous. Annoying for the buyer, but can't blame sellers who want to make sure their hard work doesn't end up free somewhere.

I'm sorry to hear about your problem with downloading your purchases ... but I must say that I didn't had a single similar problem with any WSO that I've bought so far... I always had an instant access to all purchases...

Maybe it's something about the time you made a purchase... if it was a new WSO and lot of people bought it at the same time, well, servers are in trouble and kinda slow or they return an error... I mean, a lot of things is possible...

Anyway, I agree with you that sellers should provide solid customer support, in the threat and through PMs or email... especially in time of launches when such a problems are possible...

Are you sure it's not software creating the problem? Most WSOs these days are through Warrior+ or another delivery system and the seller has no control over how fast the product is delivered. I've noticed Warrior+ has been a little slow lately, I'm wondering if maybe they're experiencing some delivery problems.

I'll speak as a seller who uses paypal and google checkout. Sometimes things break. Google Checkout, during peak times, fails about 5% of the time for me. When I say 'peak times', it's when I've got a new product out, and the server is under moderate load. Google Checkout will send a request back to my server (using ssl) and if it doesn't get a response *quickly*, it just hangs up, but doesn't try again for several minutes (in some cases, it seems, not at all). There could be more automation on my part to periodically programmatically check GC via some API call to see if there were bad transactions, but I'm not 100% sure they offer that. Even so, I've only recently narrowed down what the problem was/is. Similar issue with Paypal's IPN.

So... it's not an excuse, but an explanation, as it were. I've got some plans to migrate/upgrade to minimize the issue in the future, but it's been a bugger. If everyone just bought at different times, it wouldn't be a problem (or it would be much much less prevalent). All these people buying when I send out emails... causes problems.

I can't say it's the same for all other sellers, but there are some technical issues underpinning my problems, and probably theirs as well.

The majority of the problems I've noticed tend to appear during the first 12 to 24 hours of a WSO launch. This is the time when a product launch is "ramping up" through a steady increase in sales as buzz about the WSO builds momentum. This can have an impact on server operations (transaction timing) that require responses within a very small time frame; some systems are not forgiving of missed transactions and will not initiate a re-send of that information.

I'm certain that server load may also be an issue--especially since many server systems are really virtual servers competing for hardware resources with other virtual servers on the same physical hardware unit. The virtual servers may not be well-balanced to provide adequate CPU, hard disk, and network bandwidth resources when they are needed for a burst in transaction activity.

I tend to wait beyond the first day before purchasing a WSO in an effort to allow any "bugs" to be addressed and hopefully see a review posting.

I provide CLEAR instructions on how to get the download link immediately after payment.
And yet, I still get emails every single day from customers asking how to get the order they just paid for.

Now, sometimes paypal will just screw up..it happens. Others will read my instructions and just made a mistake or forget, and some people don't even bother to read them.

I understand wanting immediate access, you just paid for it, you want the product..I definitely get that.

What I don't get, are the 5 emails in a 10 minute period that a customer sends me asking where their order is. People with this kind of attitude will never be successful. Why? Because they want it all right now, immediately, and have no patience. They can't even wait a reasonable amount of time for me to reply! Now, I don't have any facts to back it up, but I'm willing to bet that these traits carry over into how they run their business.
