thanks for that directory but it seems almost all ad sellers are in the IM niche.

i'm in the wine niche as well as the camping/outdoors/survival skills niche. i think i may be S.O.L.

The only risk you have to take is the solo ad that you are going to buy your ad on

If you buy solo ad on a list that doesn't have responsive customers, you may be throwing your money away

i'm highly interested in buying a solo ad but i'm not sure if they are offered in niches i'm after:

outdoors niche
wine niche

all i've seen is dating, health and make money online niches

Not S.O.L. just harder to find - just do a little Googling... I know there is a huge site that Ron Douglas mentioned once that had lots of "other niches"...

Maybe someone will be smarter than me and be able to remember it...

For some reason I always think its "ArcaMax" but thats not the one...

Not from my experience and many I know - it's just the opposite... Solo ads in many cases are doing better than ever! Same with banner ads, which some have called 'dead' as well. It's just not the case.

I think how much success you get from solo ads depends on 2 main factors - quality of the list + quality of the offer.

If the list is good, well maintained by the owner who sends them quality information and stays in touch with them instead of just sending them one offer after another, plus your offer is well matched and nicely presented, then you may experience good results.
