Hello all,

I have one small doubt.. Actually Im thinking to sell one website in flippa.com, Im thinking to sell that only in 1 day (instead of 5 or 10 or 30 days), since I need some urgent cash.. Im not sure whether its going to get sold in 24 hrs..

So if we're unable to sell our website within in the specified time, then does it mean that we've lost our $19 listing fees? Please kindly clear me this doubt...

and what type of Products or Service websites is better to sell in Flippa.com (ASSUME IF ITS A NEW WEBSITE)

waiting for quick replies..

Have a gr8 day

The listing fee is theirs, whether you sell your property or not.

What kind of site is it? Does it have any revenue?

Thnx for your quick reply... Im thinking to sell this domain articlewritingdomination.com (for some $200 to $500), not sure whether anyone gonna going to buy it or not... But I just wanna give it a try... I feel the domain name is catchy, so thinking that people may bid for it (Really not sure since Im new to flippa)..

So what you suggest whether its a good idea to keep 2 days? (or some 5 days or just 1 day)?

So you're selling a domain rather than a site. Domains do not usually sell on Flippa very fast. I would try Godaddy auctions, but not sure you're going to get what you want for it.

If you build a website in a day, you got a basic startup site with no traffic and no revenue. You will not get much for it.

To see what kind of websites sell on Flippa, go to Flippa and click on the Just Sold tab and read them. It will give you a good idea of what people there are looking for.

Im thinking to make some revenue through flippa by selling some new websites, so is that not possible? IF so, what kind of websites are better to sell? (Im thinking "Providing some Service" websites) and what kind of time-period is better to keep? (What you say for 3 days? Bids wont come (assume if its some good domain website)

I have no dream of making some 100's of dollars per website, (even if I get some $30 to $50 profit is enough per website).

It costs $19 without enhancements like bold or highlighted listing to list on Flippa, so you would need to get $50-$80 or more per website to get that. Keeping a website until you get traffic and revenue will get you a lot more revenue. Can't say how long that would take. That depends on you.

Like I said, the best way to see what's selling is to hit the Just Sold tab on Flippa.

Yes ... that's what it means. A one day auction is a bit risky. You can relist an unsold auction at half price but you don't get any of the listing fees back if it doesn't sell.

Are you flipping domain or website? If its just the domain, I have tell you that Domain flipping does not work that way and I bet anyone would place a bid for that name you have there.

If it's a website, you may have put a truck load of irresistible offers to get people to bid on your auction, especially if its a brown new site. One day auction? Boy, you may well make a world record on that. lol!

There aren't really a lot of good alternatives for listing for free. There's DP forum but they go for really cheap there. The most active website selling marketplace is Flippa. You can also list for $20 in Complete Sites for Sale here on Warrior Forum.

I recommend that you go to Flippa and click on the Just Sold tab to see what sells.

In my experience with flippa, these are the sites that do well -

    1. Clickbank products
    2. Established sites related to web design, Twitter or Facebook
    3. Health related websites with revenues from ads or products/affiliate incom
    4. Blogs - usually doesn't matter which niche it is as long as it generates some money and easy to maintain

People just wanna make sure that they have a good ROI. If you can convince them that your website will help them get back the money they invest in the next 3-5 months then you will most likely be able to sell your site successfully.

Best strategy: Put yourself in the place of buyers/bidders and see if you would place a bid on your website. If yes, how much will you be willing to pay for it. This should give you a fair estimate of what you can expect out of Flippa.

Sites that make Adsense income are highly popular on Flippa. They go like hotcakes

Actually my intention is to sell many new websites (no matter even if I just earn some $50 profit per website(not Domain selling)).

So for new websites, adsense cant keep (since atleast the domain age shud be 6 months for adsense I guess).

What if I keep 1 clickbank product, some amazon products, some cpa offers in a single website, by doing so - is there any chance that I can sell website?

what products generally you show them in your website that you're going to flip it (assume the website name is catchy one )

This is sooo true. Flippa customers seem to flock to any site that makes an adsense earning.

If you don't sell your site the first time, flippa do allow you to re-list at half the listing fee for a second time, so at least you don't lose all of it.

Doing a long auction rarely works out; I've found that most bids get placed in the last day and generally run my auctions for 3 days.
