Opt-In Product Question

• Where do you store your opt-in products?

I'm wondering where I should host my free product, it is 25mg zipped. The obvious answer is on my web hosting site, should I be concerned about hosting on my go-daddy server just in case it went crazy and exceeded my bandwidth (wishful thinking)??

For the paid product I'm using e-junkie, but it doesn't look like you can giveaway products on there without going through the check out process.

Thanks for your input.

    I'm guessing you meant MB's?

I upload my files to the WordPress /content/uploads folder on my HostGator server, and then label the file accordingly. If you upload to your server using FTP (*Filezilla) which is generally how I do it, you'll usually have to go to cPanel, and "extract" the files, then "compress" the files back into a .zip file for proper download. *If you do upload it, test it, make sure all the contents are there as if you were the downloader/recipient. (i.e. images, PDF, squeeze page, etc...)

Don't ask me why that is, but whenever I upload a .zip (an eBook) for example and just write a link to that location, it fails to download properly. Someone who is a bit more 'tech' savy maybe better able to explain the reason for that.

However, you can also use Amazon's S3 FREE storage, and write your links to that location. I haven't used it yet, but as my server is nearing 70,000 files (of the 100,000 files permitted) I am looking into that option also.

There are a few more options. e-junkie will handle the delivery, and someone just posted a coupon for 3 months free on the main forum... another possible route.

Finally, if your selling it and it's not a "freebie" list builder, you can host it on DigiResults, Clickbank, iDavi, or a similar affiliate program, and just send traffic there.

    Hope that helps some.
