Keep the forum clean - PLEASE use multiquote...

Hi Warriors,

I recently noticed that a lot of people use a separate qutotation post for every answer they make to another post in a thread.

This results in some threads having 3, 4, sometimes 5 posts in a row by the same user.

It's probably mostly an annoying attempt to increase your post count at the cost of the general thread readability, but some users might not know how to multiquote correctly, so here we go:

Here's how to use Multiquote:

- Click on "Multiquote" on every post that you like to quote in your post.
- When you are done selecting all posts that you would like to quote, click on the regular "Quote" button
- all "multiquoted" posts will appear in a SINGLE post of yours.
- Edit them to have the appropriate length.

There we go, one nice post with all quotes included.

THANK YOU!

Cheers,
Rob

Some people use a bunch of individual quotes for reasons you did not define, and it certainly does not get down based on laziness or ignorance.

Good to know, but it's funny how I never find more than one person I'd like to quote in any given thread. Maybe this will change soon...

Can we vote that this becomes a sticky post? I'm tired of teaching people how to do this.

Don't quote long posts to just say "I agree"

    That annoys me probably more.

As Bill pointed out above, I don't think everyone who does not use the multiquote feature are as innocent as you may first think.

But definitely a long overdue thread. I must admit I was unaware of the feature for quite some time.

I must admit, I was unaware of how to use the feature until a few
minutes ago when I read the OP's post. I feel like an idiot, lol.

This may just be me and only me. But.... For some unknown reason, when I see a post with multiple quotes I skim right past it and 99% of the time don't read them.

Why??? Heck if I know. Maybe my scroll finger has a problem with them as it speeds up when one shows on the screen.

Not sure if ANY others have this experience or not. If you do, maybe we need to start a support group.

Damn, I can recall that happening to me a few times as well, Rob. Wonder why that is?

Rather strange. Until you pointed it out as well, I din't think much about it. Will make a conscious effort now.

Quoting long posts just to add a sentence and boost your post count brings up another thing people need to stop doing. Click the below link and read #7.

Hey Baadier (and other Warriors that do this)

Why not hit the "Thanks" button on the OP? Why quote the entire OP simply to post a one line thank you?

      Just a thought.

      Cheers

"aawebdev" for example is part of the problem. Let's Look At their "Quality" Posts That Add Value To Threads:

Thanks for the suggestion. i really like the post. Thanks again.

I also want to use facebook and twiter for marketing purpose. please help me.

Thanks a lot for the awesome information. & very interesting to watch that Free $1297 course.
Great, its just brilliant idea about money making. And $2000 in just one day, just unbelievable.
All of that just so you can SPAM you website signature.. There's thousands of people just like you doing the same thing, no value in their posts just dropping their link and building post counts.

lol, but not going to happen. There's so many fake posters on here who are trying to build their post count as much as possible for reviews or selling things on here. Go look at a few threads and you'll find like 5/10 posters just repeat the thread topic and add nothing of value.
