Anyone using PPV for traffic?

I was reading something a few days ago and it outlined how they had used PPV to generate traffic to start one of their promotions. I then read some negative comments on that traffic when I did some research. But I didn't find anything that really satisfied my need for more data. So I was hoping that the some Warriors could give me some feedback.

How is this traffic compared to Google's PPC for the search or the Content Network? Does it convert better or worse in your opinion? Any specific niches that it is not good for?

I can't think of any more questions, but I am open to any thoughts you have on it. I don't know whether to try and find a WSO or other report to learn more about it.

It's definitely a heated debate, on the one hand you have a direct link to people's computers since they had downloaded a product, like screen savers and games that leave a small window for the PPV programs to essentially hack a person's computer. It literally is an adware, which as we all know has a lot of heat.

Now here is the kicker, even though people frown upon it, it's the secret weapon of som marketers, and it is like that for a reason.

Now when it comes to clients you have to take into consideration who you potential client might be.

If they downloaded a game, you most likely will have a kid who's got too much time on their hands and too little money, so should you dismiss it as potential customer, absolutely NOT, CPA networks are multimillion dollar industries because of this.

Also you may have a not so savvy mom, dad, grandma, grandpa etc that might download a screensaver or ring tone, there are many weight loss, security, information etc, products out there that can make you a lot of money for very little investing.

So the clients aren't necessarily much of your concern you are a marketer, you market products, what you market will be dictated by your own ethics.

Here is what I recommend you do, learn the basics, and start testing on a small buget of say 10-20 dollars and you'll see what converts and what not, there is nothing better than experience.

    But do learn the basics.

Another thing about PPV, is that some clever marketers use it build lists, in this case you may give something away, like PLR or your own product on how to make money online, or how to lose weight etc.

Once you build a list you can kickstart your business.

So does it work, of course it does, will it work for you, only one way to find out.

There are some good ebooks out there, Affiliate Payload is one, Gauher Chaudhry is allegedly the king for this, his product is a bit expensive though, and also you have your fellow warrior, Charles Kirkland in fact we just had a weekend workshop on the matter this weekend.

Now if what you are looking for is how to drive highly targeted traffic for pennies per visitor, than I would highly, highly recommend you get Russ Ruffino's (also a fellow warrior) upcoming CB product called Endless Traffic Tap. This guy made his first 3 months online and went to build a 6 figure income online in his first year, (from 2010-2011)

    ENDLESSTRAFFICTAPREVIEW.COM

PS: Now of course that is my affiliate review page, and yes I would rather you buy it though my link, BUT if that's not cool with you, I STILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you get the product, whether you buy it from me, from Russ, from someone else or just go to clickbank and find it.

PS2: Learn the basics, and put it to the test, that way you will know if PPV is for you, and who knows you might kickbutt so much so that you create your own WSO and teach us.

Hope this helps in any way

    To your success!

I've spend about $1000 on testing PPV traffic for various offers.
    CPA advertising, Lead generation etc.

The first thing you need to do is find out how that PPV company get their members (the people who get to see your AD).
Is this by giving away free games, screensavers etc.

When people have downloaded a free screensaver or game you'll automatically now that they are interested in that stuff. Of course when people share a computer this isn't relevant.

Second, most people smell spyware when they see it.
PPV is not spam since they approved to get advertising, but most people don't even know they have approved that. So when a pop-up is arriving, they click it away immidiately... What would you do?

My experience with PPV was very bad, and I've never spoken to someone who made it with PPV. Only the guru courses talk about big cash

Conclusion: I'm not going to spend any money on PPV again. The conversion rates were so dramatically low that I could better spend my money on SEO/Adwords.

    Hope this helps,

    Hi Tim,

I've talked about PPV with some affiliate companies when I was more involved in running a poker platform - it seems that PPV works best for gaming, gambling, p*rn.

These kind of users don't mind the distraction, and they are used to it.

Can't give you any figures, though...

    Cheers,
