I've tried unsubscribing from a newsletter from a well-known Internet marketer but he keeps sending me emails. I clicked the unsubscribe link and it says that I've been unsubscribed. But after a few days, he still sends me more emails.

It's not from a third-party autoresponder but a self-hosted one. I wish Internet marketers would pay more attention to their mailing lists to ensure that those who unsubscribed would receive no more emails.

Try replying to the email and letting them know what is going on.

You should email them directly and let them know about the problem, it may be a glitch on their end.

You've probably subscribed to a couple of different lists. If it keeps up then shoot them an email and clear it up. I've run into that problem a couple of times as well.

I am sure the majority of us have run across this. Pay attention to the name used as the sender. This will help you to determine if you are receiving emails from multiple lists or not. If this marketer is using a self-hosted autoresponder, it does leave the door open for the marketer to add names to multiple lists without your acceptance and typically each list will have a slightly different sender name.

I would initially, as mentioned above, see if there is any response if I replied to the email. Unfortunately, in many cases, the email address used does not accept replies.

Generally we find ourselves on these lists because we have shown an interest in a product that was being promoted. If this is the case here and you know which product it was, see if there is a help section that you can use to make contact. If not, see if there is a product or website this marketer is related to that does have a help section or contact page. If I had to go this far, I would not be shy about using that contact information as the marketer has made it necessary.

Of course, your final action may have to be marking those emails as spam. If this happens often enough, the email address will get blacklisted and most marketers would prefer to avoid this. If the problem is due to a glitch, the marketer may appreciate being advised of the problem to avoid potential blacklisting.
