Different results in google depending on browsers?

Hi There,

a long time lurker, but new poster here. I'm doing some bit of SEO for a site of mine, and testing I've noticed that the results I get from Chrome in google.es (spanish) than the ones I get from Firefox are different. Obviously for the exact same keyword.

Has anyone else experienced this at all?

    Yes is the simple answer.

The reason why is your browser collects data from every web page that you've loaded as well as any search queries you may have used. Of course you aren't going to go to the same web page and/or search for the exact same thing on another browser, so your browser history is always going to be different. Therefore your search results using different browsers will also be different.

The only way you will get the same results on both browsers is by clearing all cookies, cache, temporary internet files, etc. But who is going to do that after every search?!

oh I see. Thanks. So to make sure I have the real answers I should delete all history data. Alright! I thought for a moment my site went up there but I suppose I'm still back down the results...

And this brings up the point that simply examining the top 10 sites in the SERPs to determine SEO competition isn't as accurate as many of those giving this advice may think.

Top 10 results are no longer static, rather they are fluid and ever-changing.
