What would you update on your WP Websites?

I have about 200 affiliate websites. Some are current and some I haven't touched in a year. I want to give them all an update, and wanted to compile a list of chores - a step by step process - for my outsourcers to do.

My fear is that I will leave something off that I should have done, and might have to go thru the process again :-(

Posting content regularly is always a problem, so I need a solution to automate that process, if someone has a recommendation for a plugin or software that works for you.

The list I have come up with so far is:

Update Theme
Update plugins
Change Password
Post an article with new links to affiliate websites
Add a new display ad at the bottom of the page
Add a new display ad in the left and right sidebar
Correct any errors or bad links on the site

What else would you recommend, or what am I missing?

Thanks in advance.

Mickey

If you do all that, you should be good to go. Lot of work for that many sites.

Just stay cautious for any theme modifications that you've made on individual sites. I didn't think about it for myself but those automatic theme updates killed off some of the customization that I had done.

Thanks for the advice Ryan. And I saw your wso for updating blogs. Looks like a great product. I will probably purchase it next month, to keep the websites from getting outdated again.

I agree, it is a lot of work, but my guys built most of them, so updating their own work might make it a little easier. They do a good job, and I don't need any additional websites built right now, and I don't want to lose them.

      Got to keep them busy.

This would be a huge work but since you have guys to outsource to, you should find it easier.

My Addition: Would you mind linking some of your blogs together? I mean interlinking them.
