How to get privacy for .CA domain?

I purchased my .CA last month and i just understand the importance of privacy. My domain registar doesnt seem to support privacy for .CA at the moment.

What are my choices? Can I transfer it to somewhere else and add privacy on top of it?

Please advise. Thanks

The TLD itself rarely matters - if the registrar doesn't offer a service to do it then the only option is to actually change the whois to something that isn't your information but that does violate ICANN's regulations.

    Who is your registrar?

    Netfirms.

By violating ICANN / CIRA regulations, what can they do about this?

They can seize your domain for doing that and then you won't have it at all

Can you change your account details? So instead of 'Jane Smith', you'd have 'Private Private'. With GoDaddy, doing this will give you free privacy.

I have free privacy with Dreamhost and when I tried GoDaddy out, I was shocked and disgusted that they make you pay for it. What an absolute joke. It costs them nothing to update the record, and it can be done automatically by the user.

It betrays honesty - as in, it betrays you being honest about who you are on the internet.

I guess that as a last resort you could try going directly to CIRA about it
