Do dot EDU's really have value?
This is my first post to the forum and I probably should have started with an easier topic, but here goes anyway.
Do dot EDU sites really have value for backlinks? Would dot EDU domains have value to Internet Marketers?
I own two corporations that control two dot EDU domains (the real ones from Educause.edu not from Peru). They are good names also. These domains were registered pre-Educause (1997 and 1998) and are therefore grandfathered.
Educause does not permit dot EDU domains to be sold, rented, etc. However, I own 100% of the stock in both corps. As long as the corporation maintains the domains the stock can be transferred.
That was a long explanation to get to my short questions.
Do these domains have real value, outside of non-accredited schools which are unable to obtain them? Where does one go to sell a corporation in such a specific market and stay under the radar?
