What's the Best Software for Video Editing?

Sony Vegas is great. Makes you feel like Spielberg.

It also comes with its own DVD burning program (at least version 9 does).

You can get a 30-day free trial at:

You can then buy it for $54 from Sony, or get it on eBay for under $40.

I think Adobe premier is the best you can get. lots of options and bells and whistles with the program, it's awesome

Adobe Premiere is a good one: video editing software, digital video editing | Adobe Premiere Pro CS4
Serif MoviePlus is a cost effective alternative (especially as the Pound is so weak at the moment) Serif MoviePlus X3 ~ Digital Video Studio

I use Pinnacle Studio - Ultimate version (although I think the Plus version is almost as good too). I think it's excellent value and very easy to use.

You can do things like add sound tracks and voice overs. You get a good range of output formats.

I'm sure all the others above do the same. It's just that I like this one and I think it's good value.

I prefer Ulead Video Studio, easy with excellent features.

If all you are looking to do is insert a
graphic or brand your page with text,
check out Video Spin.

I've used it with only a handful of issues,
most of them very, very minor.
