Are you referring to a stand alone store, or one actually on Ebay? What is your niche?

I have an Ebay store and I would also suggest using their newsletter features, you can have people sign up to your newsletter and they receive updates about your newly listed items.

I've also had success using specific Yahoo/Google groups related to Ebay deals to drive traffic. You can post ads for your items there, just make sure to follow the group guidelines so you aren't spamming.
