Google is driving me nuts

I know that they shuffle things up, but how can I go from page one (number 8 or 9) and sometimes page two, all the way to 400? How can my "terms of use" page show up on page 12 - long, long before my homepage or any other pages which seem to be buried so deep I cannot find them?

I'm at my wits end to understand this.

Your "Terms of Use" page shows up before your homepage? That's odd. I kind of get the feeling that you don't know how to properly optimize your site and stuff. Also, you should know that Google did another update recently so producing unique, high-quality content has become more important than ever.

Since Google did its latest update, my traffic has grown by leaps and bounds, my Alexa ranking has gone up, and I get backlinks naturally. Remember, the end goal of the search engines is to provide unique, up-to-date, and relevant content to the end user based on what they are searching for. As long as you do that, you'll be fine.

    Good luck,
    Joey

An easy fix for the terms page would be to "noindex" it. If its a wordpress blog you can do that using the wordpress seo plugin by Yoast. If you're uploading your own html, you can simply do it yourself.

Thanks for all your feedback. I think my content is good, but who knows for sure. It should all be optimized properly because I follow very closely the lessons of Adam Short from Niche Profit Classroom. I had been doing well, but suddenly this weird drop. I don't think the words taste loss even appear on the terms of use page so I have no earthly idea why it shows up before the actual site. Google just doesn't seem to make sense to me. I've also added three pages recently since I had heard the like to see new content and re-adjusted my homepage after getting some feedback from google's advice page. I think they've sandboxed me maybe??? Haven't done anything wrong that I can think of - no blackhat stuff that I read about or anything remotely shady.

Thanks again for all your feedback.

If you were in the driver's seat, instead of letting Google drive, you would not be in this mess.

Any suggestions Bill? I'm obviously not doing something right. Been at this for a year and not made much - just over one hundred bucks - that's all from 20 some odd sites and many on page one.
