Zig Zigler (get whatever you want if...)

You provide MASSIVE VALUE.

To finish the Zig Ziglar Quote, "You can have anything you want in life. You just have to help everybody around you get what they want"...

That is NOT an exact quote, so bear with me please if I didn't quote it 100% correctly.

See You At The Top was that book I read 25 years ago.

It's just now starting to make sense to my be-fuddled brain.

I keep studying what the hell is Brad Gosse doing (I've never bought anything from him)?

Justin Popovic, Darren Monroe, Maria Gudelis, John Rhodes, Matt Rhodes, Mike Cowles, E. Brian Rose.

I had a brief conversation with Justin Popovic on Skype recently.

What blew me away, was how nervous I was to be talking to this GURU, and how utterly confident he was when he spoke to me.

Justin was in my shoes at one point, but he did his best to deliver MASSIVE value to the market....Now he's sitting pretty.

MASSIVE VALUE......I would be remiss if I didn't mention my John S. Rhodes coaching.......He delivers MASSIVE VALUE.

It really has taken me a very long time (because I was always focused on short term profits), to see that short term profits are right in front of me....It's where one starts long term relationships that PAY.

Paying my $600 rent/getting that money from IM is no big deal if I just focus on one thing at a time.

I'll stop rambling for now. I sound like a blogger.

Warmest regards to all,
Ed Jackson

That is the secret to success in any industry, yet so many people think that is just smoke and mirrors.

It is a damn shame when so many people have the power within them to succeed and so few people accept this truth as truth.

This is very true. It goes right along with the idea that you must first give to receive.

Whether you think you can or you think you can't remember you are always right!

this is another method of achieving your dream/goal/desire

who does you better then you? Nobody!!

the gift of giving is not meant to be implied as how you feel when you give (although it is attractive thought) it is but a play on words meaning "What goes around comes around/ you give what you receive"

According to Zig Ziglar Quotes - BrainyQuote the quote is: "If you can dream it, then you can achieve it. You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want."

In our terms, the "other people" is your target market.

Let's say your target market is weight loss dieters. That's a huge market -- too huge.

You'd start by niching this down. You may decide to focus on dieters who want to lose 10 pounds for a wedding.

If you help those people to get what they want, then you'll get what you want.

The overall idea, "help enough other people," is a great strategy in general, if you want to live a happy life.

The Dalai Lama uses the phrase "enlightened self-interest". You can't benefit others without also benefiting yourself.

This is the best quote in human history! I actually have it where I can look at it while I work. It's especially applicable to anything online, because by and large, people online are searching for information about something they care about. If you can provide them with the info, then you've virtually won the whole game.

When I started my first home business in 1997 I had a mentor who helped me a great deal. He got me involved in selling packages of 20 Zig Ziglar tapes for £300, that was called Business Success Strategies and was quite lucrative.

Anyway my mentor Malcolm helped me a great deal and whenever I thanked him he quoted that and told me that the best thanks that I could give him would be to help others who needed it. I've always followed that and find it rewarding even though I expect no rewards.

I've still got the Ziggy tapes somewhere, but to be honest they did my head in and I didn't find them motivational, but I believe in that quote.

I too am Zig Ziglar fan and member of the Ziglar alumni.

Having spent over 30 years in sales and sales management I still find Zigs wisdom just as apropos today as it was in the 70s. Much of what I learned from him made it possible for me to land a job with Rosedowns in Hull, the oldest engineering firm in England.

There is a huge disconnect today concerning what "sales" is all about. Zig removes the mystery and the "sales is a dirty" word baggage that many people, including marketers I dare say, carry around with them.

After all --- "Sales is nothing more than a transference of feeling! If you feel about my product, the way I feel about my product, you're going to BUY my product." (compliments of Zig Ziglar, taken from memory form one of his tapes over 25 years ago )

I would add, "help enough other people get what they want WITHOUT a vested interest in their success."

I have very often said that to really make money in any business, you must do now the things that you want to be doing when you have plenty of clients and money.

    and

if you chase after money, it will always ellude you but if you concentrate on giving good service, money will never be a problem.

All life is based on the spiritual principle of "Giving & Receiving".

Giving & Recieving is intertwined in the fabric of life. It's actually a spiritual law, it cannot be denied, it works 100% no if's, ands or buts about it....

It cannot be seen by the human eye, but it can be known by the results.

It works much better when your motivation is pure, meaning giving expecting nothing in return, but needless to say it works for those who give and expect something in return also it seems.

You never know where the recieving will come from, but it will come full circle, thats for sure.....

All of life like I said before is based upon this principle. If you study nature and the life cycle, you will see that anything that does not give, dies......

Trees give that which we need to breathe, and in turn what we give off after exhaling is what plants thrive on.

The whole eco system, animal kingdom, etc, is built around this system of Giving & Recieving.

I could probably go on for days talking about this................ but I won't.

I will just say one more thing......

Giving is a way of life, it's freeing when done properly with the right motivation................. so give freely, expecting nothing in return, just give to bless and help, and you'll be taken care of in return.

Do not figure out how you will be take care of, or from whom, just believe and know that you will be, and your on the right track....

    Ed,

It so happens, some 23 years ago Zig Ziglar changed my life at an Amway convention in Charlotte, N.C.

He was a 'pivotal' key in my having gone from an all-out suicidal 17 year old, to a self-employed 18 year old. What a long strange trip it's been, indeed.

While, the Amway thing didn't stick, and I barely remember anything aside from his Southern accent, the 'vibe' this guy put off was life-changing. I did remain self-employed in 3 different businesses up until 3-4 years ago, as a result of his influence. Or at least impart.

Here's one of the solutions I found that may help people provide more value... it starts with the right attitude!

Zig Ziglar is awesome. That mastermind thinking that Napoleon Hill carried, he seems to possess a similar spirit from the same gene pool.

Thankfulness has been lost in our society for sure........ this is something that the majority of complainers overlook and do not have in their attitudes, and they can easily change their situations IF they change their attitude, from the inside out......

Someone else once said that money is just the sign of how much value you have given to others.

People often focus on the money so much that they forget that they money is just what you get in return for what you're offering.

When you find people who have a need and focus on providing value they feel - the money comes.

If you ask someone what product they should create and they don't know who they're trying to help - you'll probably find they're struggling to build their business.

I am a HUGE fan of Zig Zigler and I have tried to implement all his teachings in my life. It got way better than it was previously.

Speaking of value: This is applicable to every industry, every business, every relationship that exist in your life. The more value you give in your life to others, the more you would get in return from them.

Don't get too caught up in this personal development motivational stuff though. I found that once I stopped listening to that stuff for about a month or so, I achieved 3x times more than I did before.

No really a fan of ZZ.

Here is a big tip, stop being nervous infront of gurus, they were in your shoes once.

    so always remember that!!!!

Also, you can learn more by watching gurus, and buying their stuff, but not reading what they have on offer, just learn how they are bringing you into their funnels. i.e. Optins, upsells, downsells, backends, memberships, low end products, high end products.

Study what they do, and try to reverse engineer them. You will get more out of that then sometimes buying their stuff and reading it. I guess what I am saying is do what they do, and how they are marketing to you, and try incorparate this into your businesses / niches. Chances are they will work for any niche just as well as the IM niche.

Your income will always reflect the value you deliver.

On a more simple level... for those who have challenges with spiritual matters... the more you help the more you get.

All of us have something - some idea or spark that can help some one else. It is our duty to put it out there.

I call it having an abundance mindset.

Bottom line: Create something that helps other achieve what they want and you will be successful. Marketing 101.

If people trust you, they buy from you.

If people trust you, they promote for you.

The best thing you cn do if you want to become a serious player in internet marketing is start building relationships now. Don't be shy, the people you want to get in touch with were just like you at some point and most are willing to help.

    Thanks for posting this, Ed.
