Dwolla VS Nets, are they the same?

hi guys,

okay i have been doing abit more research on payment processors after reading a thread on dwolla..

so i found some other payment processors from other countries too.

as i said in other threads, i may not be very well versed in this area, so if im wrong pls go ahead and correct me here.

BUT are this 2 companies the same? Dwolla and nets, Dwolla is in US, Nets is in singapore.

The way i see it, Nets is more established than dwolla.

Everyone is singapore is using NETs.

They support retail, and there is eNets.

They charge 30 cents SGD per transaction which is around the same when u convert to USD.

Its established in 1985. Used by all the major banks in singapore.


So the question is : is dwolla on the same industry as paypal? or with banks? because paypal is not a bank.

And the way i see it, Nets is not in the same field as paypal, because u dont need a nets account, u just need a bank account, they work with banks very closely, so once u have a bank account u can apply for a debit card and have nets on it.



anyways, the way i see it.. the similarity is that this companies cannot go internationall, its sole purpose is to serve the people in its nation.

WHY?

because when u start doing international transfers, it cost MORE than .25 or.3 cents.

So its impossible to go international and still keep the appeal of low rates advantage.

anyone agree?
