To provide for my family and still be able to spend time with them.

Too many parents are forced to decide whether they want to provide well for their family or actually have time to spend with them. My husband has spent a long time working 50+ hour weeks, doing odd jobs for extra money, and barely having time to spend with us.

So I never have to work for ANYONE again!

5 years as a pawn in the Airforce made me HATE taking orders from anyone, but especially people I never respected.

Make $100,000 in net profit. That would allow my wife to quit work, us to buy a home, and then we could pay off all those annoying bills and other debt. I have a current business that could allow me to do that if everything goes well...would be a dream! And, don't have to work 70+ hours to do it!

I know how you feel. 4 years Active Air Force and 9 Guard right here. I think most people if given the choice would rather earn 40k a year working for themselves -verses 1 million a year working with jerks.

My current goal is to earn an EXTRA $16,781.20 or more, on or before April 1, 2012, to pay for 4 airline tickets from Manila Philippines to Wichita, KS USA through Adsense and Flipping websites or through other opportunities which may show up.

To free up the time to do the things that I enjoy by offering immeasurable value to my customers...

I don't have a financial target since that will vary from time to time depending on the activities I want to participate in.......but i know that offering value will get me what i need to free up the time.....

One piece of advice is that monetary goals don't work because the goal posts shift depending on lifestyle....

Agreed. There should be short, mid and long range goals with regular
evaluation so that they're adjusted according to what's accomplish or

I remind my list every Friday to take some time on the weekend to sit
down and make a schedule, then take action. I think I need to talk
more about goal setting then then remind them every Friday to sit down
and evaluate their goals, shift them accordingly, then take action.

1 of my personal goals in 2012 is to do list typing and spend less time in front of a computer screen. having a phone that will do the typing for me is instrumental to my plan. right now I am standing on a dock on a river. there should be no reason that I cannot do business on a dock versus in an apartment in front of a computer screen. I believe this technology will come to be fine the next generation of computing. It is exciting to use this technology now. I have to speak a little different than would be normal in a normal conversation. But over all this technology Is now good enough that I can speak rather than type and I love this!
