How to prevent your facebook page from showing on your profile

So I created a facebook page and before they were not showing on my profile. Now, I can see it showing on my profile page and its revealing me as the admin...

I thought you can remain anonymous when you create a facebook page? is there a way to this as I don't want all my personal info revealed when I create my facebook page....

I dont think it's showing you as the admin. If you look at the question mark above the admin section on the home page of the fan page it'll tell you that "Only Admins Can See This Section". Unless, you have it set to a public setting or something then your fans wouldnt see you as the admin.

What's the classification of your fan page? Maybe I can give you better assistance if I knew that. (Community page, business, etc)

    Hey azmom07 ,

That doesn't matter because your profile showing in your page because you are the admin of the page , If i say clearly log on to your FB account then go to your FB Fan Page after that bookmark that FB Fan page then go back to FB and log-of their after that go to your bookmarked FB Fanpage and look on the page and you won't be see anything else of your details.

The way to remain 'anonymous' when you create a fan page is to NOT 'like' the page yourself. You'll still be the admin, but it won't show on your main profile.

Thanks for the replies, however, when I create a page, its showing on my profile that I created that page....I realized this because one of my friends asked about why I am creating this certain page.

The page that I created is classified as a "website".

In Step 2 of the process when creating a fanpage there is a CHECK MARK box that is already checked that says "Show this to your wall" (something like that) anyway you have to uncheck it so it doesn't show up.

People that start making fanpages do this all of the time. Now you know what to uncheck.

Log in as fan page admin, there is a column "featured" in the left column, click in there and you will see the "featured fan page admin" options.
