OK, so I thought you had to be a member of the War Room to be able to post a WSO? That way we don't get a bunch of junk WSO's. Just this morning I've seen 2 WSO's where the members don't show "War Room Member" under their forum name/title. And both have 0 posts, 0 replies!

Either something is broken, i.e. not showing the correct info, or I am misinformed.

Anyone?

I don't see that anywhere in the rules, do you?

The only thing I see is "Your War Room membership gives you an opportunity to submit WSOs". But I could just be misinformed. I thought for sure a while back it was required to be in the War Room to post a WSO, but maybe that changed. Dunno. I just hate seeing people with 0 posts, 0 replies, 0 thanks with a join date of Nov 2011 post a WSO that looks suspect. Seems to be a real drag on the legit folks here.

      Razztek,

As far as I know, the rules haven't changed. If the "War Room Member" text isn't appearing, it's probably just a temporary glitch in the system.

I asked about this not long ago and was told that the member had just signed up and paid the war room membership so it hadn't had time to show under the name yet. There seems to be a lag between paying for membership and it showing on your posts.

What this means is some WSOs are being posted by people who have been members for less than 5 minutes in some cases.

Actually, one of the WSOs mentioned was posted on the 10th and has over 2200 views and over 60 responses.

So that may make statements like:
I think it might be a waste of time for someone with no reputation, posts etc. who is brand new to even post a WSO.
      not exactly correct.

One thing to remember is the mere fact that the ad is running on the WF WSO section tends to automatically lend credence, rightly or wrongly, to the advertiser.

Far be it from me to decide how to run this forum, but I agree that maybe the War Room membership should be required to post WSO's, but how about extending the minimum post thing (like you need a certain minimum number of posts to PM) to posting a WSO? If someone is THAT desperate to create an account, pay the War Room fee, then pay the WSO fee to get their WSO live all in one day (or two) then most likely it's a scam.
