Pay per click or pay per impressions marketing is the fastest way to drive traffic to your fan page. Advertise on pages related in your niche. Find who your target demographic is first. If your looking for free traffic I have noticed that leaving insightful comments on related niches in facebook can slowly build you a fan base.

Other than that video marketing can be a method but you will need strong calls to action. I have noticed that people respond better when you tell them, give them an option to click below and on the video screen.

Search engine optimization is my last recommendation but that can be a long hard fought battle if you don't know what your doing. Article Marketing Robot, SEnuke, Traffic Geyser, Scrapebox, Bookmarking Demon, Xrummer and more are just some of the tools that give you the competitive edge in SEO.

How could I forget forum marketing. Matter of fact I went to your blog which is very appealing and found your Facebook fan page and pressed like. Warrior Forum gets a ton of traffic daily and so do alot of other forums that you can be leaving valuable gems of knowledge on. I loved the Facebook fan page and if you had a call to action in your signature that would be a way to get some traffic heading that way.

Self Improvement, branding, marketing is all useful stuff here!

A great strategy is to send Facebook paid traffic to your
    fanpage.

The PPC is less expensive than normal ads and you can quickly
    build up targeted subscribers.

    On a side note:
Your main focus should be to build your own list and not somebody
    elses.

If Facebook change their rules you have no control.

    Just a heads up

I would suggest the following methods when trying to build traffic to your fan page.
    • Find a $25 giftcard for Facebook Ads (they are everywhere)
    • Use that $25 and test out "pay for impressions" (I'm using this strategy and getting anywhere from $0.0025 to $0.03 per click, which is unheard of in most industries). Also make sure to point the advertisements to your fanpage, so people will press the "Like" button.
    • Only invest $2.5 per campaign to test them out. This should give you some decent results.
    • If you can't afford paying for ad space, try finding pages that are similar to your fan page and communicating with the fans there.
    • Create Youtube videos and include a link to your facebook page.
    • Add an image as your profile photo that directs people to press the "Like" button

    I hope these tips help

    Good luck!

It does help. I'm just trying to get a plan I can stick with everyday so i can know what to so when I get home to get it done instead of sitting in front of the computer wondering what should I do next. I only have around 300 friends on facebook so I'm trying to build that up after being gone so long. Should I get some type of list buiding program?

Honestly, I don't do the whole "friend list building" and think you should focus on other methods. But that's just me.

Friends should be for friends, pages should be for.. pages.

You run the risk of being banned if you use your personal Facebook area (your name) for advertising too hard.

Oh yea that's what I meant. Think I just got my message confused in that message. So it sounds like facebook ads at a cost and doing the commenting for free traffic is my best bet for my fanpage?

You can also link up with industry leaders.Aligning yourself with successful leaders in your field or industry can prove to be lucrative for your business. Offer to endorse their fan pages too or websites in exchange for the same courtesy and both parties benefit.
